P0130 & P0172 codes together
P0130 & P0172
I have recorded the above codes on my C180 kompressor, I have replaced both Oxygen sensors, but car is still shuddering like before, does anyone know what the problem is or any suggestions on what I can try next?
Thanks in advance
Mike

P0130 = O2 Sensor Circuit Malfunction (Bank 1 Sensor 1)
P0172 = System too Rich (Bank 1)
- Did you use the correct OEM heated O2 sensors? Generics don't work
- Check the MAF - cancel codes - unplug the MAF and drive with it unplugged & see if the codes return. This puts the car onto a default engine map. If the problem goes away - clean or replace the MAF
- Ensure that your airfilter is not clogged.
- Look at the two cam sensors on the front of the M271 engine. Unplug them & check in the plugs for oil leaks - These sensors are known to leak. Oil gets in the engine harness and messes with readings to the ECU such as O2 sensors. If you find oil present. Replace sensors. Fit pigtales. Clean all oil from engine harness & O2 sensors or replace engine harness.
Good luck
