I guess I have a defective airbag then. Back to the dealer with the original steering wheel...

How was the weight of the C63 bag?, Ive seen bags where the charges have been removed and replaced with empty shells.

It was fairly heavy! Can you swap the cartridge in the wheel hub?

Everything is possible, its not easy but doable.

What fault code did the tech get when trying to reset the light?
Did he know what he was doing?

Don't know about the fault code. I went for a quick service, it was the service manager who plugged it in. He said that he could not erase the fault memory... Maybe he just didn't know how. At least he didn't charge me, what a suprise! I'll make an appointment and see what happens.

Finally got the airbag checked out. Fault code 9B00, stage I shorted to ground. Light can be reset by installing original airbag. Do I need to buy new airbag or can I somehow swap it?

X3 and 2012 C coming soon
Not good. My C63 airbag is from Poland too. It's heavy. I don't have my wheel yet.

2014 E550 4Matic with P1/LED/Pano
I'm interested in doing this swap on my E550 Coupe/C207. Here's how the stock wheel looks...think I'll need a new airbag as well?
