AMG 18 Inch Wheels C350 Sport
Hey guys avid reader, not so much poster.
My CLK 350 lease is up and I'm pretty much set on the C350 over the IS350 and the 335 (even though both are faster!)
I've been doing research for about a week; calling and visiting all the dealers within 50 miles of me hoping to get the best deal.
Now my question is, are the 18inch AMG wheels really worth it?
What rims come with the non-AMG 350 sport? Every single one that I have seen (350 that is) has had those wheels. The one at the dealer was way in the back and I didn't get a chance to see it.
Without the wheels, I can save on average $20+ per month.
I also have a set of wheels from my CLK but I'm not sure if they will fit the new C. If they do, then I won't opt for the AMG wheels.
Can I get some help?
Thanks

The standard C350 rims are 17" also AMG. They are pretty nice and they are just a smaller design of the 18" Appearance Package rim on the new E-Class Coupe and E550 Sedan.

For those who look closely, some will think the 18" wheel looks better simply due to size...that's about the only real-world benefit. However, with the 17" you will have better ride comfort, less likelihood of jarring a squeak/rattle to life, less likelihood of damaging the rim on a pothole, less-expensive eventual tire replacement, and a slight directional improvement in fuel economy and braking due to less mass of the rotating wheel. BTW, I see you list what Dad and Sista drive, so I assume you are youthful...congrats on having the values and discipline to balance the decision on merit versus cost......put the $20 a month in savings.

Thanks for the compliment! Gotta update that list though. My sister switched over to the new A4 2.0T which is really an awesome car. Dad picked up a used E500 to mob around in and put his 30k/year on.
I'm not sure what I want with those wheels. The savings would be great cuz my payments would be a lot lower, but the 18's are really nice. I can try and see if my 19's from the CLK fit. Does anyone know if I will have issues putting my wheels from that car on?
BTW I was quoted 540 OTD w/ tax for 39 months. 1500 down including first months, dmv, etc etc for P2 and MM package.
Is that a good enough deal?

I'd say save the $20/mo and if you really want to down the road, pick up a set of used C63 wheels for it. They look more aggressive on the car and you can do it at your leisure. That's what I did.

A lot of people think that the sport 18" just is a one inch larger version of the 17"... not even close.
IMO the 17" looks very flat and a bit dull, it also have one additional twin spoke over the 18"

The 18" AMG rims on the c350 are gorgeous! I wouldn't compare them to the 17" rims at all.
An extra $20 a month over 4 years is $960. Not a bad deal. Don't forget that spending money on a car is a complete waste anyway, they're depreciating hunks of metal. Always buy something that doesn't hurt your checkbook so you can continue living your life and not have your vehicle as a burden.

Yea I understand that. Only thing I have to see is what offset these wheels are. I think they were +35 but I have 10MM spacers on them. They would be 19x8 with a +45 offset. If that works out, then I think there is no point in ordering the 18's....
I can't decide between Black/Black, Palladium/Black, or Steel Grey/Black!
suggestions? pictures?

offset clk wheels
I believe with the spacers they would have an offset of 25 .
35-10
It is just the opposite of what you would think.
Spacers decrease the offset not increase.
I purchased 18" AMG after having the car 3 months .
Love them

wow can't believe I blanked on my offset knowledge...
I think I'm set on Steel Grey/Black P2, and MM package.
I'll post pics as soon as I get it. I can't freakin wait.
How would I transfer all my iTunes songs onto the harddrive?

Ok so now i decided on Palladium Silver/Black with same options
its a 2009. The 2010 won't have the same deal as the one I'm getting.
2800 under invoice, getting the car for 40k OTD
