Windows Tinting in DC Metro Area
I live in Bethesda, MD. Can anyone recommend a reputable place that tint windows? and what percentage is allowable in MD?
Thanks.
Thanks.

I live in Romania so I don't know your surroundings but I recommend that you also ask them about lamin X or similar (Llumar) for head lights and fog lights on the occasion.

They have done 4 cars for me and just did my new c350.
Absolutely perfect. They are next to dulles.

Solar Solutions in Laurel, MD tinted by wifes C300 4matic. He did a great job. I went back a week after to tint the pano sunroof and a strip for the front windshield. Solar Solutions is well know in the Mini community.

Maryland is 35%...Regardless, you can still get pulled over. After the tint is done, go to the MVA and have it inspected and stickered to show that it is 35%. This way, if you get pulled over, that sticker will be there to say its good.

Thanks all.
Several shops recommend 50% all around. They say 35% on top of already slightly tinted windows will make it illegal and won't pass inspection.
I've never thought of tinting the panorama roof. It seems quite dark already.
Now I've to decide Formula 1 (ceramic) vs. Solar Gard (non-metallic).

Talk to Linh, she does good work. I just got mine done today there 20%. Too dark...don't look at their samples cos it doesn't look anything like mine....I feel like I should've just gone with 30%.......I mean it looks awesome but I'm just scared of the police.
As for inspection, plenty of shops will not even care about tint. I myself on my old car had 30% and they didn't even check anything. My gf had 20% and they didn't check either.
