Stick-on Carbon Fiber Interior Trim

what do you guys think about this? It's much cheaper than wrapping the interior trim with CF.

None of those kits include the piece on the door...next to the door handle. So unless you already have cf trim there (which isn't offered from MB) you're going to end up with mismatched interior trim.

I've been looking at those trim kits as well and haven't found ANY that include those pieces next to the door handle

just noticed that. but that link contains all of the trim pieces, even extra pieces for the doors' arm rests and head unit cover, light trim. Whereas if you wrap your trim with CF, you will only have the aluminium or wood trim wrapped in CF. and I don't think you can wrap the "light trim" and "radio trim" (head unit), well you can but you have to take it off. lol

I shot them an email once a few months back and they said they don't have the door trim pieces unfortunately.

No they don't have the door trim also the radio piece is not for the MM system no slot for the PCMCIA card. You can always wrap the door trim in Faux CF or even match the exterior color.

I am not a fan of these stick on kits.
They have a really heavy coat of clear glossy urethane on top of the CF so you have a domed or rounded effect around the edges which IMO looks cheap.

Actually the CF looks good. I can imagine wood not looking good as it isn't real wood just paper with a plastic coating (had it on my last car).

Some kits require an adhesive promoter. This will eat the finish of your trim to make the kit stick better. The kit listed above does not use the promoter. This is the kit I have been looking at.
I want a CF piece for the head unit only. It looks like there should be something there.

I don't think that it's gonna look that bad with that kit, as all the door trims will still be the same color (aluminium or wood). as you can see, the kit will only cover 3 pieces of the OEM aluminium or wood trim. The part where surrounds the shift knob will still be aluminium or wood. right?

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion but you should see it in person before being so negative.
