I didn't know DEPO made one. I'm sure the DEPO is a higher quality piece.

What a coinkydink! My markers just arrived today and wadda 'ya know?!?

First impression is that they are of good quality and it doesn't appear that I'll have any gap issues. [knock on wood!]

My chromed-amber bulbs won't arrive until Monday so I won't install until then. Will prob. start a new thread to compare how the two smoked options look. Member "thearc" had a thread from last week and he has the slightly lighter smoked markers on a black car so I thought I'd post a side-by-side after I get mine installed.

Hm... If you plan on blacking out your grill or any external CF pieces, i'd probably get the smoked.

Nahhh.

It's a lease, but I can't stand the freakin' orange sidemarkers. It'll be the only mod ( I had it tinted, that's it )

Got_Thang? on this board has a Steel Grey with them smoked. He MAY have painted them though, instead of buying one. I'm not too sure, but it looks pretty damned good!

Hey guys,
Is is possible to put a LED instead of just regualr amber bulb?
Would the LED be visible from the outside? after the side markers have been installed?

I keep telling people that the ones Lee (Goodstuffs) sells are the better choice. Why even gamble? There were a lot of people who complained about that line.

I have just recieved GoodStuff's side marks today and had them installed.

Mine obviously did not fit in perfect and the gaps are visible if you look closely.

I am not too happy with GoodStuff's side marks.

Probably will rate 6/10.

Mine didnt fit originally either because I was lazy and used the stock plastic piece that goes on the inside of the fender. Make sure you use the all the new componenets...? might help

Hmmm, I installed mine tonight as well (from Goodstuff) and they fit very well. I re-used the stock backing piece, too. However, I re-fitted the markers a couple times before locking things in w/ the T-15 screw, so I'd recommend you go back in and see if you can get the markers to sit flush *before* snapping them into the backing plate and tightening the torx screw.
Here are some pics from inside the garage and under flourescent lighting. Not the best shots, but gives you an idea of the fit/look. The closeup might look like there's a gap, but that's the reflection off the paint. Will take daylight pics tomorrow.

Some daylight pics. I must say I love these smoked markers. Dark enough that they blend in really well. The chromed-amber bulbs are nice, too. Dim in daylight, but are definitely bright enough at night.

This last pic is from member "thearc"'s old thread so that people can see the difference between the two vendors' smoked markers. Mine seem to have a darker frame and have a horizontal array (my preference) vs a vertical array.

Wonder if we should start a thread to show different markers on the various paint colors of cars, e.g. "Here's clear on Palladium. Here's smoked on Iridium."

It's probably shipping from California via USPS. Takes about a week from the day that the package was shipped.

Derspeed - thanks! Couldn't have picked a better first mod. Other car guys at work immediately noticed them and were amazed at how they change the look of the car for something so simple. What next is the question. Prob HIDs, then spoiler, then wheels. Still debating the X-pipe. Some of the vids on YouTube make it sound very loud. Perhaps it was because they really rev'd it up.

Richard - didn't you get a link to trackurorder.com? Go there and plug in your info to see where things are at. Lee has been in-communicado for the last couple days. Maybe vacation or life happening outside of selling markers?

It was my first "mod" too. The change is dramatic. I was the first person to have them. I kept bugging Lee at Goodstuffs about them because I knew he sold them for other cars. I believe it took a couple of months for the production run after I got mine. My car is the one he uses in his ad way at the bottom.

Smile W204 SIDE MARKERS

I BOUGHT MY SMOKED SIDE MARKERS FROM 3 OF THE DIFFERENT SELLERS ON EBAY AND THEY ALL HAVE VERY POOR FITMENT. I RETURN 2 OF THEM AND KEPT THE LAST ONE. WHAT I DID WAS SAND THE OUTER EDGES TO CONFORM WITH THE BUMPER. THERE ARE NO LARGE GAPS BUT THE 2 LOWER CLIP GAPS THAT ATTACH TO THE BOTTOM OF THE BUMPER IS LARGER. SO I INSTALLED A SPACER WITH TWO WAY TAPE ON THE INSIDE OF THE BUMPER TO PULL IN THE BOTTOM OF THE SIDE MARKER. LOOKS LIKE OEM MARKER, MINIMUM GAPS. BOUGHT IT FROM GOODSTUFF.
