remove spoiler

I know this is going to sound CRAZY !
but here goes....
Has anyone removed stock rear spoiler from C350 .

Considering C350 purchase but not excited about a spoiler that looks like they added it on??
I know I am in a minority of 1

I'm not a fan of the rear spoiler, too.
But the Brabus 3-piece one looks nice.

from what i've heard, the best way to remove a spoiler is to use fishing line to tear the tape adhering it to the trunk lid..

anyone please correct me if i'm wrong - hope this helps

Just like taking off the emblems...heat it up with a hair dryer and then use fishing line or anykind of very thin wire to cut thru the tape. A little wax to remove the left over wax and residue

wow you don't even want your rear spoiler at all? I'll be very happy to take it off your hands if you're just gonna take it off and throw it away or something..

I removed mine, i just didn't liked the way it's designed, looks like something added on.... although i agree with someone that said he loved the brabus 3 piece, plays of with the curvature of the trunk!... it may look awesome in matte black with my red car

So I am not alone !
Thanks for the info guys . I have removed badges with dental floss , just was not sure factory spoiler was installed the same.
Regarding parts from Totaled C300, still working with insurance company to cover. (Amg 18, wood wheel ,wood shifter etc)

If you are going to throw away the AMG 18, be sure to let me know. I am the first one who asked!!

Here's what yours will look like without the spoiler. I had mine removed while I'm waiting for my Brabus spoiler to arrive at the dealership. It should be on ~ 20 Oct.

I also think it looks nice without the spoiler, but I've also noticed the rear bumper and exhaust is covered with dirt very quickly since I've removed it. It may be partly because I've been tearing hard on my tires since I'm about to throw them away but I think the airflow is also partly responsible.

Not really. I put it side by side to a C63 yesterday and there's barely any difference. They stick out a little farther, but it's only 2-3 millimeters which is negligible. It's probably just the angle, I'll take a top down shot next time I got the camera out. The AMG marking on the tailpipe is framed nicely, so I am happy with the placement.

I'm looking for a white or black spoiler too - does anyone have a photo of the spoiler and trunk MB badge together?

I had some rear end lateral movement during braking at high speeds yesterday without the spoiler that I didn't have before with the spoiler. Just a heads up that removing the spoiler might affect performance adversely at high speeds. Fortunately, I'll be calling my dealership today because my new spoiler should be in...

+1... I think dealer rental stock c300s look like crap from the back without a spoiler... looks so plain and cheap to me, like any other basic sedan, other than the mercedes signage...

Anyone selling the OE C350 spoiler PM me. I want another one. Prefer Arctic White. Don't bend it a lot when you remove it. It will cause ripples.

I don't like the paint job and I don't want to get it prepped again. I'd rather start fresh. I'll sell it for $100.00 plus shipping. It's OE that started black. I had it painted white and my painter f'ed up the paint job. It will need new paint if you're as picky as me. I've used him before, but his work was sh*t this time.
