There is a really annoying rattling noise coming from the pass front side of the car. Everytime I go over a bump it rattles. I emptied everything from glove box and center console, but the noise still come up.. Its not from the door b/c they sealed, and it sounded like it was coming from the glove box or ac. Can someone please offer some assistance? I know there are threads about noises, but i couldnt find anything related to my issue. Any comments or advise would be much appreciated!

I usually just turn the volume up louder to have the music blasting so i cant and wont hear any rattles J/K ..... take it to the dealership and have them take a look at it ?

Thanks guys... went to dealer... They sealed the door, but that didnt help

Have them check the door lock wire in the pass door. Mine was loose and needed some padding.

I have a squeeking noise by where the rear speakers are whenever I go over rough roads. Initially, I thought it was the blown sub-woofer, but that has since been replaced by the dealer. Now I still have that squeeking noise which is driving me nuts. Until I bring it in for service, I'm going to just turn up the volume. :-P

Same here, that "stupid" plastic thingly at the back.....squeeking noise drive me crazy for months already; still facing this problem today !

Mine had the same.

It was the driver seat.

Dealer took it out and "lubricated" springs. @ least that what they said.
And noise is GONE!

It might be your passenger seat. My driver seat rattled for a good week before I brought it in and they tightened some bolts and such.

Have you brought it back to the stealership to get it fixed yet? I'm hesitent to bring it back and have them rip apart the car for a squeek. Hmmmmmm....the conundrum.....

I have a creaking/ticking sound coming from my instrument cluster. The dealership replaced the cluster and the sound went away for a while but now its back. Anyone experience the same problem? I think it just has to do with the plastics getting worn down.

Had the same problem. Took it to the dealer two days ago. Fixed under warranty. Dealer invoice states : rattle coming from large speaker grill......applied MB sealer retested ok.

My '08 C300 has developed it's first little rattle/buzz (after 26 months of ownership) right around that area also. One of the possible noise causing items is the plastic trim around the seat lower cushion. If you hear it when carrying a passenger, ask them to locate it by putting their hand on various spots. Sometimes a mighty whack on a suspected problem area will silence it.

These noises were much worse on the W203s, believe me, but are not too hard to eliminate.

WHAT'S NEXT?

It's the outside mirror assembly. My drivers side was doing the same thing. Open and close the door from the outside and check the mirror glass and assembly. I'm willing to bet that is it.

My sunvisors rattle when in the down position. I wrapped a little black insulating tape around the contact point which stopped it.

Hey Carsy,sounds like you woke up all the rattles in everybodys cars. Mine has a ticking sound like a loose tappet. I also just turn up the radio until I can get to the dealer.

have a rattle in overhead console. dealer tried to fix some rail, but it returns when it's cold outside.

I have the same problem also. Happens when its real hot outside. Looks like in extreme temperatures, our cars finds ways to complain. haha
