Mingo what did you ask them with regards to the upgrade? Did you go in for a A or B service and ask them to make sure to load the latest firmware upgrades? If you do that, then they typically will load the latest firmware.

i told them that my music would take up to 2 minutes to load when i first start the car (true story). and that the aux volume was low..
i told them that a new firmware was out and asked that they updated it. they claimed that looked for it and according to their diagnostic system, i do already have the latest firmware. i believe my firmware update was done 2-3 months ago.
I asked them about the traffic update and they couldn't find anything either. the techs rely heavily on vin to diagnose anything.
btw my car is a 2008 c350. with the p2 and mm package

Havnt tried aux input at all in my car, but one thing I noticed the other day is that the DVD video playback audio has with the new FW improved greatly, before I had to turn up the volume pretty darn high just to be scared ****less when swapping over to the memory card or radio

I read the thread with interest and I would be interested in getting a copy of DVD to upgrade my comand system. I read it also introduces TMC pro here for Germany and that is much better the 'normal' TMC as that is often behind the facts.

I have confirmde with my local dealer that there's also a firmware update available for the US market (presumaby the same update Vic Viper has). The SA indicated that in order for them to perform the update, they first need to open a service order that includes details on issues the requestor is experiencing. They then in turn need to determine if this update addresses the issues before it is applied.
I will check to see if they are willing to do the update even if you are not experiencing issues - but more for the motive of having the latest.

I was able to get the update from Penske Mercedes. I told them that my iPod had a low volume and showed it to them.
They graciously upgraded to the latest firmware with the Volume Boost as well.

I had the car at the dealer in June and they said they applied updates to both the Command unit and my TCU.

Don't know what this means but, anyone know. I can tell my navi is old, but the software? My car was built 11/2008, dealer avoids updating my software.

Mine look to be a little different from yours. FL ver and CPU ver seems to be the same, but the others are different. Can anyone find out what the latest versions are?
