Firmware updates - what to ask for
Guys,
What SW updated should I request from my dealer? I know there are updates for:
- Engine - ECU
- Transmission - TCU
- Dashboard
- Multimedia display
Anything else?

does anyone have any details about SW and FW updates there might be for an 09 C300? I'm hoping there is something that will make the bluetooth phone better and MAYBE the 7 speed tranny smoother? What is the Dashboard update and Engine ECU update?

There are updates for the 09", but if there is nothing wrong with the car, I dont see any need for updates. I remember when my tranny was rought from a shift from 30-40mph, I tried resetting the TCU myself, didnt help much, brough it to the dealer and they did the reset and it took care of the problem. My main issue with my car was the RPM fluctuating at crusing speed, first it was a couple of pins being loose, they fix that and now it just intermitly, I just discover today by the dealer that there is a new software for that problem which should take care of my problem completely.
