NEED HELPP!!!!!

Some stupid water bottles got stuck under the passenger seat of my car, and now the whole ****ing chair is ****ed up! the guy said it is gonna cost about $2000 to install and i don't know what to do. Apparently the part that connects the rail to the motor is broken, but i need to buy the whole part or something instead of the piece that broke. Can anyone here help me out or give advice. anything would be greatly appreciated.

It is hard to imagine how a water bottle would break the seat unless it actually got wedged into the mechanicals themselves. Did the shop actually prove it was the bottle or are they just making the assumption that the bottle(s) caused the issue?

they said the entire left railing for the seat was bent and the parts for it were bent, so they said something had to have fallen in there to bend it. There is this part the guy said that connects the motor to the railing that broke off, but the problem is I need to buy the entire railing with that part connected to it. I need to find that part separately and dealership only sells it with the railing all in one piece.

Try a different dealer, sounds a little expensive for a few metal parts, and how does a thin plastic bottle bend metal rails? Don't sound rite! Go to another dealer..

I am not sure I agree with the diagnosis....making that "assumption" is costing you a lot of money. The rail is supposed to be stong enough to stay attached to the floor in the event of a wreck, hard acceleration, hard lateral Gs etc. Unless you had a passenger that completely ignored something really bad going on under the seat(and just kept holding the control down) I wouldn't think this could possibly bend the rail or it's mechanisms. I would try another dealer or even go by a local shop and talk to them about the issue.
Best of luck!

What was the water bottle made out off? Can't the rail be straightened out?
