Is it possible to change the comand face plate?
Hi, i have retrofitted comand, but im not 100% satisfied over the color matching to the rest of the panels. Is it possible to change the face cover and do someone have a part number? (For black)

It is possible, but you will probably have to determine what your part number is and ask the dealers what is the part number for Black.
Here is a Comand HU Pn A 204 870 34 96 and the face plate is black
Maybe if you contact the dealer you can get them to provide you a part number?

Yes, I was thinking along those lines too, is this the plate with all the buttons for the phone and radio and disc including the pcmcia port? I was thinking what it would look like in aluminum? All the trim I have is aluminum in the car. Can anyone of our tech savy forum members photoshop the stock black plate into aluminum? that would be very much appreciated....

The faceplate of the Comand is visible below the display, which is ontop of the Comand Unit, i just do not have one handy of just the faceplate from a full front view perspective. Now unless what you are calling the faceplate is not the front plate on the Comand unit, which surrounds the buttons and CD and memory card slots, if that is not it, then you got me.
