'18 C63A Cabriolet

2008 C350 with power steering problems...

Anyone on this list experience power steering problems with their 2008 or later C-Class? Specifically the wheel being hard to turn like there is less assist than there should be, or noise when turning the wheel?

I have a 2008 C350 as well. I have noticed whine from the power steering that is louder than other cars I've had. I had C300 loaner and it made the same noise so I figured it was normal.

standard whine noise, no worries, it is normal

if it was hard to turn your wheel i would be worried

Does it make a noise at full lock? If so it's fluid aeration blowing through the pressure release valves. Cause - low fluid level. These cars are ultra sensitive to fluid level. Top up taking temperature of fluid into account as per the built in dipstick in the cap.

Edit - BTW - turn the steering from lock to lock 5 times to bleed the system. Then do final top up.
