ANYBODY USE THESE AFTERMARKET ILLUMINATED DOOR SILLS? HOW IS QUALITY COMP. TO OEM?

I was wondering if anybody here installed the aftermarket door sills from formymercedes.com

http://www.formymercedes.com/mb_resu...20Door%20Sills

They are drastically cheaper than the OEM ones, and they even come with sills for the rear doors, so it seems almost too good to be true...

I would expect the quality to be crap for this price compared to OEM, and have never seen any other pictures about them other than the one pic on the formymercedes website...

I tried to search for people who installed them but had no luck and only found the OEM ones...

I know an installer who can install them for $100 bucks in less than an hour, I just want to make sure they are quality and arent too tacky first... Please fill me in if anybody has experience or pics of these installed.

Thanks

Ryan

What's with the all caps in the title? On the subject, I heard the aftermarket ones don't look as clean as the OEM ones and is a pain in the *** to install. (Unless your good with wires..etc)

I considered them for a while but got turned of by the fact that the most logical way to get them connected would be via the interior lighting. So no matter what door opens the doorsills comes on.

So I installed the OEM one, would like to get the rear though but only if it is goes on and off when the door opens.

I don't really mind if they all come on any time any door is open since mostly I'll just have one passanger and It might not be too bad if a blue glow comes from down low up front. If a passenger exits from the back...

My main concern is do they look ok or do they look obviously cheap

might have to email Jerry at for my Mercedes for some pics installed!

they look good, but they don't like to work all the time, at least for me.

one will go out, then another, then another, then they will all come back on.

i'm not sure what the problem is but these sills have been known to fail.

fitment is close but not exact. OEM is much nicer but at 5X the cost, i went with the FMM ones.

here are some pics of mine:https://mbworld.org/forums/s-class-w...oor-sills.html
