I kind of like keeping the 35 prefix cus then its not that bad cus i have a 3.5 liter engine so its a little more relevant... i would not want to go bigger engine than what i really have...

I would at the most leave the C35 on, that sounds like a better idea, if you have the AMG badge that is maybe because you have the styling option. C63 owners should not look down on 350 owners also. To each his own, if you value the mods you do to your cars it goes for us as well.

I'm confused, does this mean you can't put a Brabus badge on a car done with a brabus body kit or a carlsson badge on a car with their kit, what about Lorinser? Or a kleeman or joe blow racing? must the engine be a part of it too? What do the tuning companies say about this? Would they let you run their badges if you spent a fair amount of cash on their kits even if you let the engines alone? I undertand an AMG car like the C63 but what about everyone else? does this only apply to AMG's?
I think the essence of this thread was that he did state he was a poser, he never denied it...........

i don't like the complete debadge of everything because to me, that just looks like I bought the cheapest, bottom of the line car with no options and tried to pimp it out and take off the badge to fool lame people that dont know into thinking that I actually have a higher end car like an e or s class or something
Think about it in a different way. Anyone who can not make anything of an AMG badge, will not know the difference and just appreciate the looks. Anyone who does, and sees the quad exhaust with the AMG wheels will assume it's an AMG. Only an enthusiast could tell that it is not, because you have a different hood and a slightly different bumber. But you will not be laughed at because you debadged everything.
De-badging gets my vote

you say that youre not a poser in your book but you have an amg badge on your car, and you dont have an amg....i really dont care about this haha cause once im done with this post ill never think about this again, but i think you should debadge everything if you want people to think your car is something special, or more special than a c350 at least. the thing is that when people who know about cars see you they probably laugh and say look at this poser. hey its your car and you should do whatever you want with it but in my opinion i think you should debadge it. that makes the person behind you curious to what it is

If it doesn't come from the factory, id doesn't need to be there!
Im not saying it looks bad, but it's slightly lame!
With the C350 logo only, it looked like a clean, well modded car
but now you added cheesiness to it with the AMG
you should definately leave it just as C350 or debadge, but i feel the same way as you about debaging!
and for the c63 hardasses, Some of us had no choice but to get a c350 or c300!
I was so close to getting the AMG but i needed 4-matic for our intense winters!
that's why i got the c350 4matic!

Well considering it LOOKS identical to the C63 badging (model on left, benz star in the center, amg badge on left) I'd have to assume you think C63s look much better debadged as well? This isnt really an aesthetic issue..its just kinda pointless. I debadged mine.

You are correct that the "AMG Sport Package" does contain the wheels and styling and sometimes the exhaust pipes say AMG, but that is quite a different thing then placing the AMG badge on the trunk lid and attempting to call it an AMG vehicle.

trust me I held my EXACT REPLICA up to a c63 at the dealer to make sure and it laid right over PERFECTLY... I am a perfectionist, the last thing I would ever want is a badge that screamed it was from China or that it was fake... you my friend, need one of these

btw..Mercedes may not be as generous with the AMG badge..but in some parts of the world BMW puts M badges on non-M cars that have certain sports packages.
Even here in the US the 135i has the M logo on the steering wheel and shifter. Clearly that squatty, shortened 335i is not an M car.

You probably should have procured an "AMG Black" badge instead just to let the rest of the world know that it's not real since your car is white.
To each his own... looks nice and balanced regardless of its fake-ness and sacriledge to the AMG division.
