Painted calipers
Ugh, I'm having a serious internal debate with myself over this issue... I really want to paint my calipers red, but my entire car is coming out silver and black. The red caliper is classic, and always stands out though.. and I really am conflicted now with the advice that leaving the taillights red will balance it out.. I was planning on having my tail lights sprayed with blackout at the same time!
Someone help me set my head straight on this one.

The only bad part about painting our calipers red is that it shows off how dinky they are
otherwise I like the red look but it really only makes my heart skip a beat when they are some beefy red brembos

I don't think they look THAT small, but NOTHING compares to a set of Brembos.

Hey guys I just recieved 5 spoke wheels in the mail. Going to put them on my car but first I would like to paint the calipers and get rid of some of the rust from the part behind the caliper (sorry I don't know the correct name for that part).
How can I do this?
I think I am going to go with gray to match the color of the rim. What type of spray paint should I use. Also, is it possible to paint the other part too so it is all gray (I am guessing not!)? Thanks guys! lol..

Sup Guys, some1 needs to create a DIY for painted calipers...I'm considering this as well.
Did you guys remove the calipers or just paint them on the car?

1. Clean,Clean,Clean your brakes with Brake Cleaner
2. Masked off the discs, the dust guards and other brake components
3. Slide a piece of paper under the pads
4. Buy an assortment of decent brush from Home Depot/Lowes and take your time applying. Don't use the crappy brush that comes in the kit. The bristles will start to fall out and it will drive you insane
5. Follow directions regarding multiple coats
6. Do not install wheels until paint has set

I have AMG logo stickers for the calipers in the proper sizes for front and rear if anyone is painting or powdercoating there calipers. I have them available in yellow, white, red and black.
