I've been pondering whether or not to paint my calipers ever since i got my new 5 spoke wheels since the calipers are much more noticeable with the new wheels ?? I normally would go with Red but i think a color like posted or even painting the calipers black would be better than the way they look now ???? Thanks for sharing those pics .... i now have a better idea as to how it would look other than them being Red !

Oh quick question i know these pictures are of the front calipers but how about the rear calipers since they seem to be soo soo much smaller than the fronts....... or did you guys simply leave those as is ?? TIA

I painted the rear calipers as well. just not as dramatic as the front ones . I will try to post some pics of them as well. I went with the grey color because I saw a new E63 at the dealer with the gun metal wheels and grey calipers ,and really liked the clean look....I thought about silver but the brake dust would be much more noticeable and harder to keep clean....All of the 2010 AMG'S I have seen have the the grey calipers .

I painted the calipers with krylon spray paint and krylon clear....I only needed one can of each. I also painted the brake rotor hubs but it is hard to tell in the pics.

Fweiss, that black looks good.
I painted my Passat calipers with red two-part G2 caliper and they turned out great. After three years, they still just clean up with a quick spray of wheel cleaner and water.
Here is the DIY on Passatworld. I can't tell from this computer if the pics are still up. I'll have to check later.

I clear coated my W204 calipers with Duplicolor clear spray last year and they still look new. Cleaning them is very easy as well. I didn't want to use red this time as I think it would look too boy-racer for my taste on this car.

Those are amg caliper decals....They are put on after painting, once they were on I sprayed the caliper with clear coat, this way they will never chip or peal....it looks like it came that way from the factory.

PS Going with red really depends on color/style of wheel and car. I have done black on black and red on black and both look great...but on the red on black I kept the rear tail lights black instead of blacking them out to give balance to the car.
