GPS Function unavailable vehicle in motion
Hey Guys...have you ever noticed this...if you try to enter an address in the Navigation while driving...the Navi says: "Function is unavailable when the vehicle is in motion"
I used the feature before...It seems like a safety thing, but why did it stop working now? is this normal?
BTW did any of you get a Navigation system manual for C300?

I would not say "GPS function not available", just entering the destination in motion is disabled (except if you did it via voice control). This is a coded feature, not sure if SCN code would allow it changed for US cars.
If you have been previously able to set the destination in motion, perhaps your car SW has been updated since then (I assume new map data would not do it but a Comand SW update can disable this)?
Any MB with a navigation device from the factory should have a manual for it (should be a separate manual in this car, some have it in the main manual).

I did STF and this was the only post I found on entering an address in Comand while in motion.
Is there no other way around it othen than voice activating the address or having a VIM unit?
Seems really lame, as my friends 2008 S63 can do it in motion.....saw it with my own eyes.

Without hacking the system the only way around it is to enter an address using the voice system while the car is in motion otherwise you will have limited options while car is in motion such as POI entries or previous destinations.

my 2008 C350 would let me enter if someone was in passenger seat, i beleive it was linked to the passenger air bag system, thats how it knew. My 2011C350 will not even with someone in the pass seat. I have VIM so I just engage it
