Decided on the Laser Interceptor Quad (Gen 8) as a Laser Countermeasure.

You have to love a company that uses a C63 AMG on the cover of their packaging. Cliff Crane, the US Distributor for Laser Interceptor, happens to own a C63!

how did you get the suction cups to stick so well on that part of the window? the dots make it difficult for mine to stay so I placed the radar next to the A pillar on the drivers-side instead.

Please do show pictures of the install and a review. I have been looking at that product myself. And my car not being a P2 car, I am also interested in the parking sensor feature...
I know this says it jams, but does it also warn when it detects?

My MB Dealer wired my Valentine 1 to the Cigarette lighter circuit. I had mine placed on the drivers side and tinted a small area above the suction cups, shielding the unit, and providing excellent adhesion. Looked like quite an ordeal to me but the shop had everything buttoned up quickly and professionally. V1's have gotten smaller over time, same functionality; I've really appreciated mine. The escort you installed looks great.

Glad I found this. I was wondering where to tap the power for my Redline and didn't realize there is a switched 12v in the glovebox. Thanks Super!

I'm glad to see we're finally discussing laser countermeasures in here. I was going to make a thread on it once I got mine installed. The laser interceptor is a really nice unit, but seriously expensive! I was talking to the folks at Blinder, and since they don't have an installer identified in my region, they were willing to give me 30% off the price in exchange for letting them know who installed it and how good of a job they did! They even talked me out of buying the quad, telling me the dual was more than enough protection for my car. At the end of the day, I was ready to spend $750 and walked away spending $340!
I'm not sure how complete the protection is for these devices, but it seems they will buy you a few seconds to slow down. My thinking is that if the laser is a polarized beam, all they need to do is roll the gun to get it off the same polarity of the countermeasures and it will get a reading. It would be interesting to see this effect tested!

I hope its not a problem to revive this thread as I do have a pretty legit question...
Has anyone tried to connect to a power source from the mirror or dome lights? It seems that it would be a much shorter run for the cord and you're not compromising the effectiveness of the A-pillar airbag by running a cable under the trim?
Thanks in advance for any input...
