Removing Amber Reflectors from front bumper...

Hey guys, need a bit help..

So I read the DIY on removing the amber reflectors, but it seems that mine are the unlucky ones that also have the screw. Not only is it being held in by a tab, but a torx screw too. I tried to get a screwdriver in there, but it was nearly impossible to work like that in the wheel well area.

What did you guys do? Any tips would be appreciated.

I have read that some folks used a right angle driver, with the torx bit, to remove these. I just did my smoked markers on our 2008 C350, and found NO torx screws installed. I was surprised, but also was shocked at how rigid the wheel panel was. The torx removal sounds like the hardest part of the job btw.

Good luck man.

Just use the Torx bit with your fingers, not a driver. The screw is not held in that tightly and will come out fairly easily.

I used a small torx screw bit and clamp it with pliers so I can get the scew to loosen. After the first experience, I can easily probably replace both of them in less than 15mins.

I bought a torx screwdriver from Home depot that came with like 8 different end sizes. The screwdriver itself was only about 4 inches and I was able to hold it inside at an angle and unscrew the screws. I'd maybe look into that. Or as others have said, you could probably just use the torx bit.
