55W DDM HID issues please help.

I got the 55w kit- (no error code fixer thingy) after the install everything worked grand no issues, now a week later I’m having issues with them flickering (very slight very, hard to notice but you can tell). My question is I thought there we no need for the error correctors as its the 55w kit. And why would the issue just start, if there was a issue would it not have started at first install. I am so confused there is certainly a voltage issue but its just weird. Can anyone shed some light on this (pun intended). do the error correctors fix an issue of this nature assuming its voltage? The driver’s side light has the most issues. (2010 c300)

If there is no error in the connections, the ballast or the bulb came wiyh defects.

Even if you have the 55w DDM kit, you still need error cancellors.

I know OEM are 33w, but why would you recommend 55 over 35? Safety precaution

yes u do, get those decoders. 20 bucks a pair? http://store.ijdmtoy.com/Canbus-Deco...adapter_03.htm

if it's a conversion kit from Halogen to HID then u gotta have the decoders, if ur car always have HID and u just changing the bulbs then u don't need the decoders..

Even though I don’t have the decoders to try yet from what I’m learning, even though its the same voltage (55w) as the stock halogen the computer is sending some sort of "pulse" to be sure that there is a complete circuit. I can only assume since the HID bulb does not a have a filament it responds with a flicker on sorts. This is just my very uneducated opinion.

u are right on the voltage part.... if there's no error message then maybe that's not the problem.. maybe it's ur bulbs... or some connection is loose. try to switch bulbs and see which one is giving u the problem..

*****UPDATE*****

The Error cancellers finally made it and they work like a charm, no more flickering!

Awesome. On the DDM Support site they say that all Mercedes past 2002 regardless of make need error cancelers, I trust DDM, but good to see I didn't install them for no reason
