Oh my wheels were dry and clean. Went for a wash, used P21S like I normally do, then dried them off including inside the barrel as water tends to collect there. Let it sit for an hour and a half outside then rolled her into the garage for more than a day sitting there. There was still a bit of a puddle between the face of my wheel and the lip due to the liberal overspray they recommended. Everything dribbled in there and I rolled my car slowly outside, then back in to recoat. Let it sit for another couple of hours before I actually drove it (even left it in the sun as it was nice out). Still, when I went for an hour drive and got home, had that white crap all over my lip. I'm very meticulous about my car care and I really wanted this stuff to work, but I dunno.

They must be selling quite well, because they are buying all the snakes they can find for the product oil. So, who knows...

Incidentally, the real McCoy must have a lot of silicone which might damage tires and valves.

I take it back. If you have a lip, just don't spray it on your barrel and you'll be ok. Does wonders for the spokes, definitely recommend covering up your brakes first though. Here is a pic of a spot where the rim protectant didn't cover vs a portion that it did cover.

Works well on regular faced wheels with no lip. Mine are still pretty clean after a few weeks except a little bit of ground water from the rain. My barrels look dirty as hell though haha...did you guys cover up your brakes?

When I washed my car last Monday I figured I would give this stuff a shot. So, after a week I will definitely say that my back wheels are a lot cleaner than they usually are, but still cannot compare them to the front ( which are spotless ). Overall, I am pleased and will continue to use the product.

Illusive - no, I did not cover up the brakes prior to application...

I have my summer tires ordered from Tire Rack, so in the meantime I gave my summer wheels a good cleaning, wax and an application with this product before it gets mounted.
The spray took a little time to dry and it gave the wheels a very glossy finish (not good for flat painted wheels). After it was completely dry the surface felt like it had a soft film on it so I have a feeling that the protection would not last for a long time.

I won't have my summer tires and wheels on my car until later this week, but I will report back.
