Can a front lip hide this?
hi, i have a problem. i accidentally break my bumper when i tried to get to a very steep road. you can see in the pics below that the sides of the bumper breaks. can i install a front lip with the current bumper condition to hide the cracks?
Thanks for the advice

Yes, a lip can cover that. I got a lip for my SL to cover the bumper cracks from the previous owner. My body shop fixed the bumper from inside and didn't need to repaint the bumper at all.

If the area visible from above is not damaged, you could simply bond the broken piece back to the bumper. Not really sure what the best bonding agent would be, but it looks like that and a little touch up paint wouldn't be too noticeable...unless someone is squating down to look.
Of course, if you are looking for perfection, a new bumper is in your future.

i got that when driving through a part of the city that ive never driven before and will not drive through there in regular basis. do you think the broken piece will be able to hold the lip though?

The lip should be fastened at several places so I don't think any one fastner will be absolutely critical. If the mounting points are not pre determined, simply move it a little forward or backward to avoid the damaged area.
