Aftermarket LED Taillights

Just came across these on Ebay. Not sure if its been posted before.

http://cgi.ebay.com/W204-07-UP-C-CLA...item1c1118a7f3

Not bad looking and the price is for the Pair.

Red/Smoke..not sure if the actual item is both in combination or if you can order them in Red OR Smoked.

I like it! Except for the red border around where the reverse lights are.

Another round of ICE
A good improvement. The next step I am waiting for is to have completely clear lenses with the red, amber, and white LEDs providing the color only upon illumination. Completely clear will add to a monochromatic look.

My thoughts too. Should have kept it clear.

Emailed the seller to see if they have a full smoked or full clear lens version and if this was plug & play. Description just says Full replacement.

Be careful with LED Taillights from ebay....some of them really do not work very well at all. Go to a respected customizing shop and talk to them about what brands work well etc.

Those look promising, it states they're made by eagle eyes. I've had a set of them on my 330ci, they're good. I have p2 on on my c300, but it'll be nice to have the leds on the brakes too. Thanks for the link.

I emailed the seller asking if they are able to source a SMOKE/CLEAR version where the Red area is smoke and the turn signal area is clear. He said he'd have to contact Eagle Eyes and he'd let me know if something of that would be available.

I'd be in for one if Smoke/Clear was an available option.

Sabersports emailed me back about the Smoke/Clear availability. They don't offer them and have no plans to from what he tells me.

Now awaiting images of them fully lit up. I'll post the image up here if he can get them for me.

I'd like aftermarket LED taillights that look completely OEM and are completely LEDs, turn signals and brake lights and maybe even reverse lights.

What I'd really like to see are aftermarket headlights for the non-P2 folks. One that would have HID projectors comparable to OEM or retrofits. And also even come with proper LED eyelids that don't require resistors that burn the sockets. This way they could come with nice painted housings or something, too.

EDIT: Is that what you were talking about in post 10? Removing the red border in the reverse light area? That'd be great!

Definitely I'd be in for some aftermarket headlights with the housing painted a dark color like black or dark grey. Built in LED eyelids would be a big +. Instead of having someone bake open my headlights to paint then glue them back together.

I'm sure in time they'll be available.

I believe they are. Description only says "Direct Replacement" and looking at the picture of the back of the taillight I can only see 2 plugs. Never took my taillights off but I'm assuming it'll be plug n Play.

I'm tempted to just buy em but damn somethings holding me back and I don't know what ahaha.

Don't know if I wanna hold out to see if a full smoked version becomes available. Don't know what color combo to go with as well Red/Smoke or Red/Clear. DECISIONS...DECISIONS.

I'm holding out for all clear lenses and three simple bands,

Top: RED LEDS
Middle: WHITE/AMBER LEDS (interlaced)
Top: RED LEDS

Everything I've seen so far is too gimmicky and over-designed.

They are Plug & play according to the seller on ebay.

Thank you for your inquiry, no rewiring is needed, plug and play application.

Thanks

revotec

He'll be updating his auction as well with pictures of them installed on his customers car and with all the lights lit up.

----Update----

Pictures will be up soon via his Ebay listing. Sellers name is Revotec. He's answered about every question I've sent him in about 5 minutes. Very good response time and support.

Ditto. A lot of times they are not as bright as OEM LEDs and individual LEDs may burn out in the unit.
