Looking good Ron. I also used this nice weather (about damn time!) to get the weeks worth of rain washed off lol

+1 on the w204 badge. Darth is looking quite well fed there! I always did favor the Eurotek lip, just not willing to pump out that kind of cash yet.

You've gone through more front grilles than anyone else I know LOL!

But the current one looks great! I think all that's left is to source yourself some black housing headlights and Darth will be complete.

Looks good. How did you black out or darken the rear turn signals? Is that paint or a film?

LEDs it is. So many people have attempted it and personally I didn't like any even MB's offerings and it bothered me. With my schooling in engineering I decided to take on the project. Actually fairly simple when I had first got the car I was going the black/chrome look but didn't reallt feel it once I put the parts on but I did like the framing around the tail and head lights so sand off the chrome, prime paint and clead and they have been on since. Back to the LEDs I looked at the headlight and considered cracking it open and mount them inside but didn't want to risk that then I took a good look at the frame and a short while later 18 holes on each side with LEDs behind them. Wired to the side marker (easier than the eyelid). To the night pics.

Really liking the LED. But how come in the first picture they look really bright and light up the housing, but in the second two they are barely noticeable? Did you adjust exposure in picture or something and they look brighter, or what you see is what you get?

Secondly, I wasn't quite clear on what you did. You drilled 18 holes straight into the front of the headlight?

The first pic I was closer, it was dusk, I used my D-60 and I was shooting almost straight on.

Second pics I was further away, it was fully dark and a bit foggy, I used the D-70 on night mode (longer exposure) an I was shooting from a higher angle.

I have an aftermarket frame (originally chrome) that I drilled the holes into. Frame is clearly seen in this pic.

Tint was from agressive, I don't know if he makes them any longer. The frame is the chrome one sanded down and painted 040 black.

Cool! Oh, the frames are just the aftermarket ones, sanded down? That's a cool idea, especially how you drilled the holes in the front ones.

So, most of the people that have "tinted" tails, actually have them sprayed, and not tinted with window tint?

Yes the red sections are hard to tint with film because of the concave shape. It can be done and has by people here with mixed results.
