NooB and very happy to be!

The new whip is a 2009,C300,Sport package,4Matic,Premiem 1 package. 17 sport wheels for now...Bought it CPO from Westwood Mercedes Benz with 7k miles on it. Worked out a price over the phone for $29,000. And to my complete surprise...the CPO fiancial deal was 66mo at 4.99%. Had them teflon the car (resistall) tire and wheel protection for the next 5 years. Tint goes on 4/10/10. Wheels will be on after i sell my Infiniti wheels. Westwood Mercedes Benz was great to deal with.

My previous car to the C300 was an 08 Infiniti G35xS (awd/sport) i loved the car but the lease was up and the buy out was a complete rip off.

Nice to meet you guys! Im pumped for the modbug to infect me

thanks
PJ

Welcome and nice ride(s) I was considering the G37S before coming the MB way. I didn't buy the Infiniti for a rather stupid reason. But still, I'm more than happy with my Merc now. Can't wait to see what mods you're gonna do!

Snarling what was your reason....the pop-up nav in the MB and the touch shifting set it further apart from all the others lol. Both of those are pretty trivial.

It's not a reason that's based on what each car has in terms of features or that one was better than the other. It was merely that someone else among the people I know got one. And that certain someone just happened to be a person of. Inelegance. But he ended up totaling it like within the month he bought it. So if I had purchased my car a month later, I may have gotten the G37. Has more of an exhaust note, DRM, more power, comfy seats, etc. Although I'm not a fan of their media interface. I hate reaching all the way forward to control everything. But I'm happy with my C now. No regrets.

On a side note, I do like how the facelifted G37 has fogs and such now. Gives it a much more aggressive look, compared to the three little rectangular openings on the bottom (two of which were dummies) or the ones on the sport. (two of which are also dummies I believe). And the headlights don't look as busy/clustered anymore.

I was about to sign on a 2010 G37XS black on black fully loaded when i was turning in my 08 G35XS. the 2010 was a dealer demo with 3000k on it so the deal was pretty good but decided to not sign when they wouldn't throw in the aerodynamic package which at cost to them was $800 bucks and i was gonna install it myself. I love the G sedans but i figured it was time to make a change from the Japanese Lux brands (Infiniti Qx4,Lexus GS400, Lexus IS250awd, Infiniti G35XS.)

Getting this Benz really breaks my long car history of Japanese Lux brands.

I can't wait to post new pics of the Benz on Clublexus and Infinitidriver

Haha... Don't currently got one stashed, but with how cheap they are to lease...we should all have one.

Haha. Nice nice. I'm a (dead) member on CL too. Haha. Wayyy back when I thought I was getting an IS350. But uhh, yeah. Didn't work out. :3. Lexus isn't as kind at giving good deals as MB and Infiniti are.

2012 C250 Coupe
I had the g37 on a 24 month lease. Gas is bad on it, lucky to get 19 with mixed city and highway driving. I had the coupe, but the main reason I decided not to go back with it was not only the upkeep costs (needed new tires every year, and desperately needed brakes after two), but also because it didn't wear well at all. It was very good quality in the beginning, but then towards the end there would be constant passenger seat rattle, tranny would act strange, and car just didn't ride like it did day one like all my Benz do. I liked it alot, but I got a great deal on the Mercedes, exact car as the one featured in this thread. Same out of pocket on Infiniti but $150 less per month and this lease is 26 as opposed to 24.

Keep in mind I absolutely LOVED the car, and I miss its power like crazy. Perhaps I would have kept it if mine had the 7-speed tranny that came out in 2009, where as mine had the 5-speed. But not only that, even though both cars are the same price, the g37 simply didn't have the NAME that my Mercedes Benz commands. They don't even have to see the car, the key is simply enough to get that "wow" factor for a 19 year old. Never got that attention with the G.

Anyways, congrats on the car! Keep it clean, as it looks like you do.

Congrats on your car purchase but I am not trying to upset you or anything but did you shop the interest rate at all? Do you have bad credit? The only reason why I ask is Bank of America is currently offering 3.34% up to 60 months and 3.8% for up to 72 months on all CPO purchases from authorized dealers and Westwood Mercedes Benz near Boston in Mass in on the list of authorized dealers. Their is no bank fee at all either if you buy a car from an authorized dealer either so that also saves you $595 MBF bank fee as well. Chase is offering 3.75% on CPO purchases from authorized dealers for up to 60 months also and their bank fee is $295 only. MBF currently has rates as low as 2.9% up to 60 months on CPO as well.

All the above is based on credit and in general requires a credit score 720+ except MBF which requires a credit score of 700+ to qualify for the lowest rate. Did the dealer tell you if you did 60 month financing over 66 it would be considerable cheaper if you did not qualify for Bank of America or Chases rates? If Mass is like Ca you have a right to change financing with in 7 days if you do qualify for one of the above better rates, I would highly recommend you look into them asap on Monday morning as that could save you a nice chunk of change.

Assuming you were able to get the Bank of America loan for 60 months or 72 months the difference over 60 months would be $3060 and over 72 months would be $2683. And your payment on a BOA 60 month loan would be lower than your current MBF 66 months loan. So it seems like a no brainer honestly.

Ever wonder why dealers always ask how you plan to pay for the car? And will always sell you the car cheaper if you finance via them? They make money on the loans and leases by getting you a rate higher than market value. Ie if say you qualified for 3.5% loan but they got you to agree to 4.9% loan the bank will pay them 75% of the extra interest paid by you over the loan amount for getting them an above market loan so in effect on your car loan if the above case and rates were true your dealer got paid $2240 in commission from MBF for getting them an above market loan.

When ever you buy a car always shop the rate especially when you are buying a car that does not offer a special advertised incentive interest rate for purchase as that is where the dealer can rob you blind. The reason I say advertised special purchase interest rate is because it is hard for the dealer to tell you that the interest rate is really higher than the advertised rate unless you have bad credit so you know you are getting the best deal possible.

My credit it great so i hope its still within the timeframe to switch to the BOA rate or see if i can go down to the 60 months at 2.9 through MBF. You might want to visit Bank of America web page too and see their car loan programs as the dealer might say tell you even tho they are an CPO dealer for Bank of America program and will accept Bank of America approval loan email they can not originate the new loan them selfs and only originate MBF loans via the dealership. I know the dealer which I work with in CA is on BOA authorized dealer list and yet they can not originate a Bank of America loan them selfs. So what I did personally was apply via BOA web page got approval email within 30 minutes of applying online and took that email to the dealership and they were able to do the loan based on the info in the email.

Also MBF up to 2.9% for 60 months is dependent on the model you buy, I know some models only offer up to 36 months at 2.9% which is why BOA at 3.34% tends to be a better program in most cases over MBF.

Just so you know BOA new car rates is 2.84% which is a better rate than MBF which offers on most cars 1.9% for up to 36 months and 2.9% up to 48 months and 3.9% up to 60 months.

Again BOA requires 720+ credit score to qualify for these low rates vs MBF only requires a 700+ credit score but if you have good credit you are always better off going with the cheapest rate.
