I hope Im posting in the right area.
At some point this may have been answered in variation, but have not read this rim option in threads. I'm looking to get rims and tires for my 08 C300 Sport. I dont like the 17's available from the dealership and staggered rims that fit seems hard to come by in 17's. I am wondering if 17x8 will be a good choice for all 4 tires? While still using front 225/45/17 and rear 245/40/17 tires. Stock rims are front 17x7.5 and rear 17x8.5. I'm hoping if this does work that no rubbing will happen in the front as there should be no problem with the rear. Also, what about offset for front and back, as of right now it's 47 front and 58 back I nelieve. Thank you in advance for any advice or information.

I'd stick with the staggered set-up if I were you, it improves handling in a RWD car. Are your wheels the 17" AMG? You could try to find some used or new 17" AMG wheels and that way you could keep the staggered set-up. Of course if you already have those you could go with the 18" AMG wheels which look even better.

I have the regular 17 in rims, not AMG. I really dont want to spend the amount for Mercedes rims when I could potential get new rims and tires for that price, especially since my first interest was getting tires because they are needed. Not to mention that the tires I want is about $200 less elsewhere in comparison to the dealership. The rims I have now would be used for the snow season, then I would only need to add snow tires later, in which the money I would save going elsewhere for rims and tires, could put a dent in the cost of those snow tires 6 months down the road.
