I am in the process of deciding which HID kit to get...w211 2008 car. I have heard of DDM plus error cancelling thingy. Please post pic and review when you do get them installed. have anyone compared ddm to mtec? I know mtec is pricey but I also heard you only have to do them once, and the looks are very impressive compared to OEM.

I too am going to get the DDM HID kit for my car... Except they make the order process so damn confusing.
If I got this right you guys ordered the 55w kit, with type 3 error eliminator and the dual in out HID harness?
Just a question, why is the error eliminator necessary if you go with the 55w kit? It would be the same wattage as stock?
Also, I know you have mentioned that the 55w version has not resulted in any plastic melting or anything, but what about Lamin-X if any of you have? I have heard some people say their lamin-x has burn and scorch marks with stock bulbs, let alone these 55w HID?
Sorry to be a pain, but picture please!
I am thinking about getting the 8000k kit, but if I get it in 55w I might get the 10000k kit, because they say 8000k looks like 6000k if you get 55w. I want them to match the 8000k Canbus LED I just ordered from AZN... Thanks for all the help.

Please get the error cancel wires. I am sure you do not want flickering. And btw stock is 35 or 37 watts I forget which one.
Regarding color I was recommended 6k for a clean oem look, so if you want 8k just search around for pics. My personal opinion is that it might be too blue but too each his own.

I emailed DDM CS and while they could not guarantee anything, they did say that "generally speaking, it will not melt anything and will also be ok with OE headlight housing". They also said that they did not recommend modifications to the headlight housing.
Don't worry about melting wires or anything just mount them right. Check out Alexlev's post about mounting them in the wheel wells.
The only modification to the housing would be the light caps which cost like $10 per set so no worries there when you need to return/sell the car.

Well, the stock halogen is 55w, but the bi-xenon stock is 35w. If it can take 55w halogen, why wouldn't it be able to take 55w hid?
How do the 6000k DDM HID compare to the 8500k GP thunders. I like the color of the GP thunders, and think it looks OEM, but the 6000k videos I have seen make it look that color I desire. But I am skeptical that the camera makes the light look more blue than it truly is, as it commonly does...
+1 on the HID harness being required? Yes/No?
