LED SMD for Fogs?
Would these work as fogs? I saw these on the bay and though it would be a cool fog light if it actually worked without throwing errors.
This might be a long shot, but can it also be experimented as headlights (ala 2011 A8 which has all LEDs as headlights)

Maybe this is just a weird idea and I should stick to GP Thunders for Fogs lol

I think it might throw codes cause is not a regular halogen bulb and any other bulb you decide to put on, it has to have a resistor otherwise is going to throw error codes

I also thought it may not project a beam, which is why I posted it. I think it would be more like a DRL for whoever is interested.
I'm sure putting them as headlights would not help either as the projectors would throw the beam just a few feet....

The light beam of LEDs are directional and have very little spread.
Even though these bulbs have LEDs on the sides and pointing outwards, it is not throwing off a consistant beam in all angles and directions, so the reflectors (which are specifically designed for halogen bulbs) will not be serving its function much.
I have tried them on my other car and it was actually dimmer and at certain angles barely noticable.
If live in an region that has good weather all the time, than I may see them being used in your fogs as DRL, but other than that I wouldn't waste your time.
As for using them in headlights, it would be dangerous as it will never be as bright as halogens or HIDs. Only the Audi R8 has all LED headlights, but those are latest technology and design and very expensive to produce.
