Yes he added a pipe as well because the x-pipe was a bit short.

Is there anything special about the Magnaflow pipes? What makes it different from other x pipes out there? Aren't they all just stainless steel?

no it does not. All you are doing is cutting the resonator and putting the x-pipe there. Its not a perfect fit so he will have to add some pipe to connect it together.

Not for nothing but I would recommend this simple and inexpensive mod to anyone who likes that exhaust rooar Granted it still doesn't sound like a C63 or M3 but for the cost I think it's well worth it !!

The C isn't my DD anymore but I still to this day grab it for a quick spin around the block just to hear the exhaust

Does it add a lot of noise into the cabin?
I am worried about the droaning sound from inside.

Sounds like a great mod at a great value.

IMHO there isn't too too much noise especially since I would often drive with my windows down and sunroof wide open to get to appreciate the rooar !! It doesnt sound what we would call " ricey " at all if you're afraid of that too !!

Best bet is to attend one of the meets if there are any near you and go for a ride in a C with the x pipe mod

Search 10790 for the x-pipe.

There's always e-bay, too. That's where I ordered mine.

Something hitting something you don't know? Um... I don't think so. I get my x-pipe put on later this week, but I've never read ANYTHING bad about putting an x-pipe in place of the resonator.

ok sound good to me but i think i read something about if the size isnt long enough you could just add size to it and place it closer to the back is that true?

The x-pipe is shorter than the resonator, and the x-pipe should be placed closer to the front of the car. From what I have read, this helps with backpressure, which, in turn, helps with low end torque.

I get them on Friday! I can't wait! I'd love to see how my C300 compares to your C350 seeing how we will have the same exhaust mods. If I can find a camera, I'll make a video.

The Magnaflow X-pipe is shorter than your stock resonator so you need extra pipings to make up for the difference in length. Any reputable muffler shop can weld in the same diameter pipings from the x-pipe to the rest of your exhaust pipes.
