Prepaid Serive worth it?

Prepaid Serive worth it?
Just purchased a 2010 C300. Is the $795 prepaid service plan worth it(covers 3 years/30K miles) I can buy it up until the first 10K mile service. I've never owned a mercedes before, only Ford cars. I do all my own maintenance on those unless it is something major with the drive train.

I personally would go ape **** if a dealer tried to mark up something over MSRP on me. MSRP on prepaid service in the USA is $769 and most dealers will discount it that down to $650 pretty easily when you buy.
If you leased it, it can be a good deal(Services prices vary greatly between dealers, here in Los Angeles for example 1 dealer charges $250 for Service A but another dealer charges $150, I was able to get my local dealer to agree to match the cheaper dealer advertised price) based on the fact no matter how many miles you put on the car all those services are required before returning the car. And in general a Service A runs about $150-250 and Service B runs about $300-400 depending on the dealer.
So if your dealer tend to charge on the high end then it can be a good deal, but if your dealer is on the low end for services then it is a bad deal.

I think it's worth it depending on how much service costs in your neck of the woods.
Here is what I was told is included in the A and B services :
https://mbworld.org/forums/c-class-w...-180-days.html
Here in Chicago, A service is $225 and B service is $570
The pre-paid maintenance for $769 is for 3 yrs / 30k miles, which would be 2 A's and 1 B.
In Chicago, it would cost about $1020 for 2 A's and 1 B, so I would say it's a good deal.
In the Service Specials thread, I see regular price for 2 A's and 1 B in California is around $700 ( $200 for A, $300 for B ) so not so great of a deal.

in my opinion, it is worth. I paid 1000 bucks for that here in Calif. Since it is a mercedes and if you wanna keep the car for more than 3 years, that is the amount of money you have to pay anyway. the difference is paying now or paying every single time you go down for service.
