well, if you delete the cats ( 2nd cats im assuming if you want to still have warranty) thn you'll get some major sound increase!

If they are just cutting out the resonator and replacing with the X-pipe then you seem to be in good shape. I would recommend keeping your resonator...you never know what you may think of the sound, or if you may be asked to reinstall upon lease turn in, etc...

MB C-300 Sport 2009 Manual Black XPIPE+Exhaust
did the same thing and just like the guys said keep the resonators in your garage dont sell or through them away.
DO NOT DELETE the cats it will void your warranty trust me I spoke to the mechanics at MB. Here is what else you can do. With the xpipe plus deleted mufflers i spent less than $200

I installed mine as well (magnaflow X-Pipe). I got beat over the head on the installation price. He up sold me on stainless steel tubing, and tried to convince me that doing the installation with the stainless steel extension pipes is worth $275 to install for 30 minutes...
Anyway, I felt that the price was well justified by the price as soon as he started it up for the first time in the garage. Sounds great, at really high RPM's it can sound a bit raspy/ricey (6k+). But I am very seldom in that range, unless I floor it. And after having it for about 1 month now, I have begun to love this sound. Good luck on the install and I hope you get a better price then me... And yes, you cut out the resonator and replace it with the X-Pipe and extension pipes. Make sure they don't replace your cats, it will void your warranty and your car won't pass inspection in NYS. Keep your resonator like I did incase you go to sell the car or return it off lese (they might give a hard time) This piece is about 1.5ft long and pretty darn heavy!

ok guys yeah everything was done appropriately. all the guy did was replace the resonator. YES i kept it =) i am using a leased car so just in case i decide to trade it in i kept it. Xpipe was 85. Install i was charged 100. not bad imo. it was installed very quickly. from the first take off inside the cabin i liked it because it sounded quiet from inside the cabin, but after pushing it after 4k rpm it sounds really good. but after hearing it outside i definitely fell in love with it thanks everyone for their input.
