Squeaking Noise from Sun Visors
I was wondering if any of you guys are having the same problem I have been lately. Only in the afternoon on the way home from work ( never happens in the morning ) I have a squeaking / rattling noise coming from the driver and passenger sun visors. Once I pull both of them down ( like I was going to check out my face in the vanity mirror ) and put them back into position the noise ends, but it is pretty annoying. I'm sure it has something to do with the temperature, but I don't remember this ever happening before...
Anyone else experiencing the same issue ?

I have the same issue. Normally makes the loudest sound when I have the sun visor down. When I push it back up, sometimes the sound is still there and if I were to wiggle around the sun visor, the sound will go away. I also get a sound coming from my sun roof area as well. Usually when the sun roof ceiling cover is closed. But once it's open, the sound goes away.
Summer=Heat. Heat+Plastic=expansion of material. Basically it's the heat just causing the joint between the visor and the little socket to have a lot more friction, causing the squeaking sound. If you keep it in a cool place for a bit it should go away. If it really drives you nuts, a drop of lube/oil might help.

Thanks guys, guess I'm not the only one.
I figured it was the heat. The only reason I really notice it is because otherwise the car interior is silent ! Guess I'll just crank up the radio a little louder until summer is over...

It really is the heat. On colder days here, my car is fairly quiet. But once the sun's out, my interior starts to snap, crackle and pop. I don't need a temp gauge to know how hot it is outside, I just listen to the interior noises of my car and I know already. haha
