For my W204, I'm running 8000Ks on the inner eyelids and 5000Ks on my outer eyelids. Those 5000Ks have been given me the same problem as Sugah Daddy and the one other person. When I turn off the car, and leave it, just the outer eyelid lights, the 5000Ks, would just stay on. I'll try and post a video on YouTube to show you what's going on. I'd love to know what's wrong with these. Thanks Man!
you plugged them in too far. Guys I can't stress enough the importance of properly installing ALL open circuitry LEDs. If it gets hot enough to the point where the solder is compromised, then yeah, you'll get component separation and all sorts of issues. A quick and easy way to check is to plug it in all the way, knowing the voltage plate is touching the resistor. Then turn it on for a couple seconds, then turn off. Feel the LED, it should be scorching hot. That is not normal operating temps. Pull the LED out now to where it should be and turn it on again for a few seconds. Touch the LED, does it feel significantly cooler to the touch? If so, good that's where it should be plugged in at. If it still feels the same scorching hot, then you didn't pull it out far enough.

mikonuj - I'll warranty them, but please try to be extra careful with installation this time.

Reno - you're running into the same situation as mikonuj. Eventually the solder will become so compromised that it'll stop working all together. If you're handy with a solder, the LED actually isn't burned out or broken and simply soldering the resistor back on the unit will fix it. It's simply the solder melting point being reached, not an issue with the actual components.

Just a quick question, if these LEDs are used for license plate lights won't they burn out? They're too big to leave a gap, forcing you to plug them in all the way.

You'd think, but thus far no issues have been reported for plates. I think it actually sits just right without touching the resistor cause everyone will be the same distance pressed in.

Just heard back from my tester this weekend. Unfortunately looks like the built in error cancellors didn't work and an external error cancelling device is needed (like the DDM Tuning kit). I could release as is and sell an error cancelling unit separate, but I want another shot at a built in solution.

At this point, you might as well get the LEDs first as it'll take a bit of tweaking to get the new version HID out. Couple that with finding a new volunteer tester and waiting for them to get it installed and feedback.. You don't really gain anything bundling since LEDs ship for free.

Thanks for all your orders. 5000K LEDs are now sold out, but should be back in stock within the next couple weeks. You can still place your order for them, but shipping will be delayed. 8000K is still in stock and ready to ship

Michael, what are the odds of you developing D1S bulbs for P2 Bi-Xenon W204s? Over the time I've had the 6000k's im running right now, I noticed that the lumen output has sort of gotten worse since I had them. I'd say I've had them for about a year now, and light output is pretty pathetic. I think I'm gonna switch back to my OEM 4300k's soon. Hopefully the contrast between my 6000k HID fogs and your 5000k eyelids won't look to bad. :3

That is a good point of the license plate lights. Perhaps the holder is different back there? I don't know, but I have not had any problems, but they are "hot" to the touch. Maybe its jsut a matter of time. But regardless, these LED have lasted almost a year now with no problems. So I am pretty content.

Also @ Mike. Those 8000k I put in my sidemarkers are now more "blue" and match my eyelids. Perhaps they get darker overtime or something? I am very satisfied. I will take some pictures to show everyone of my all 8000k setup. 55w 8000k DDM, 8000k eyelids and sidemarkers. However, I have "tint" lamin-x on my headlights, so it makes the eyelids look a little bit more "blue" or purplish then they really are. Mix that with the fact that the housing has some type of other effect, so when you get up close the sidemarkers look a little bit different color from the eyelids, even though they are both 8000k.

However, once you get a few feet away, to the human eye they appear to match very well. I am probably going to take my Lamin-x tint off my headlights soon and just black out the housing.

Lastly @ Mike. Do you need any help testing the HID kits in foglights? I would be willing to try it out down there in 8000k. I would really like a 55w kit so I don't have to run extra wires or error cancelers (like my ddm kit). Or do you think that it would be too much heat for the foglight housing?

35w is recommended for fogs specifically because of the heat reason, but I know plenty of people running 55w and haven't had any issues, so it's one of those YMMV kinda situations. It's looking like my kit will need extra error cancellers which we're fabbing up. I plan on packaging it all into one bundle though with my HID kit. Will be looking for a couple new testers (5000K and 8000K) in a couple weeks once we work out the cancellers.

The external cancellers won't be bad and should be pretty simple to connect and a clean design. Here's what we have so far.

Yes, you'll need 2 sets for your eyebrows. Please add an extra $4 for international shipping and handling to Vietnam. Thank you.

One of my LED's is staying lit since last night after a 1 hour drive back home, does that mean that the LED is bad? I tested them on both side and is does it on both??
