I Really Hate People.
First was right in front of my house, we had a few friends over for a BBQ on Sat and since the next block down was having a block party I decided to park mine and my daughters car in front of the house so our friends could use the driveway and not have to park on anouther street and walk over. Now my car is closest to my driveway and the space behind it would barely fit a Smart car. Someone decided to try and fit in there and hit my rear diffuser hard enough to crack it on the passanger side. Of course once they had hit my car and saw they still blocked half the driveway they moved somewhere else. No one saw it and no one came to the house to tell me about it. I spotted the damage when I put the car back in the driveway at 10:00 PM.
Second was at the mall. Now I HATE shopping and would normally have just sat in the car and watched a DVD while my Wife and Daughter went clothes shopping. My Wife doesn't drive and the mall is in anouther county where my Daughter can't drive with her junior license. So I am stuck driving. It is close to 100 out so I go into the mall for a little while intending to get a nice frosty drink before heading back to the car. As usual I park far from the mall and other cars. Walking back with my nice frosty drink in my hand I see my car all alone as I left it then I notice the front grill looks wrong. Going over I see the bottom edge is pushed in as if someone tried to remove it which I think was the case but since the hood needs to be open they were not successful so to spite me they scratched the hell out of it. Now I'm pissed, I reseat the grill and watch my DVD while drinking my frosty drink getting madder by the minute.
Long story short I changed the grill for my SL grill. I will have to have the Brabus rep repainted (wanted to anyway) after I back fill with foam. Now thw diffuser I don't know what to do, I tried putting some 3M tape behind and pushing it in place. No good. I may just drill a hole on the end countersink it and put a small bolt in place and hide it behind a vinyl CF circle. Also thinking about saying the hell with it and removing all external mods and calling it a day.
the worst thats happened to me is a group of "b*stard children from hell" sitting off the side of the road throwing rocks. they hit my car twice leaving some nice chips and dents, then ran like hell when i pulled over and got out to chase them... lol
hope you can find a way to fix the rear diffuser because "DARTH" just wouldn't look the same without the mods

walked to my car after work one day and saw my rear bumper was scratched up, paint cracked, and in the bottom corner a nice screwhead shaped dent. the sides were buldging out and the diffuser was loose. The bumper can probably be saved but the diffuser is cracked and will probably have to be replaced, thinking of getting an aftermarket one since i wanted to anyway.
My first car Nissan Altima '98 Gold color lol I was driving in a narrow street and took out someone mirror I panicked and kept driving....less than a week later completely on the other side of town someone took mine out while I was parcked! still dont know who did it! lol Karam dose work and it alwayes will! haha
Some days I wonder if it would be easier to drive a simple piece of junk like a lot of people do just to avoid the stress of keeping a nice car nice but I just can't do it.
It seems like people just want to mess with those who park far away from everyone. Many times I have left a store to find a shopping cart right next to, or touching my car. People seem to go out of their way to do it.
Ever go to a store and park waaaaay over next to a curb in a space so there can only be a car parked on one side of you? I do, only to come out to find a car next to mine actually in my parking space with my car. I just don't get it.
I heard of a case once in which a guy came out of a store to find his motorcycle dumped over and an elderly guy trying to lift it. He asked the guy what happened and the guy said he laid the bike down so his wife could get into their car. The worst part is, the bike was parked first. That old dude actually parked too close and thought it was okay to move the bike after his stupid mistake.
This **** happens all the time in the NYC metro area and I've come to a point in life where I just fix it, forget it, and move on.
Sorry to hear about your Black Beauty damage Ron.
PS I don't see myself as lazy or unappreciative. I'm practical, and stealth.
It gets a mini detail once a year, and washed every month or two, more in the winter. It doesn't seem to mind. The Benz gets much better care, but it's new, and my wife uses it to go see clients. Occasionally she drives them out to dinner. It has to look great.
BTW I met a MBWorld membere in the Target parking lot late sunday afternoon, this was after I changed the grill. It was good to meet you to bad we couldn't chat for awhile.

some ****s was not careful and chiped my door paint
some red ****ing car swiped the corner of my rear bumper
these ***** deserved to be whiped
i hate those to the days
Anyhoo, an absolute IDIOT almost pushed me to the breaking point last week at dinner. I score a corner spot and park as close to the cub as possible. This restaurant had unusually wide spaces, so I was very pleased that I had 2ft+ of space on the exposed side.
I come out after dinner to see that some **** in a POS made himself a spot by straddling the space between my car and the next spot over! The guy literally left me six inches of space. Had to enter via the passenger side. I was soooooooo tempted to do something like let the air out of a tire (something to cost him time vs damage), but that karma thing came up...
Agree with others in that consideration is just non-existent these days with most people. Hell, the wife tells me that a kid boguht some ice cream from the roving van tonight, unwrapped it, then proceded to try to stuff the wrapper down the sewer grate in front of our house. Stuff like that blows me away, but I guess it's a sign of the times. (the kid got a good talking to, so doubt he'll be doing that again...
