Multimedia Owners Manual?
Searched, checked the online manual at MBUSA.com but haven't found any info.
I'd like to read how it works. In particular, I want to see about playing MP3's from the PCMCIA interface and about copying MP3s from flash to HDD. I've read in the forums here that this is possible by changing a service setting but then also read that this may have been removed. Still possible in the 2010?

You can't copy iPod tracks to the HDD so as stated above, I don't think you could rip from a flash drive.

There was for a brief time a setting in the engineering menu for rip instead of copy (or vice versa) but it was taken out long before the 2010's were available. I had it before the update but could never get it to work. To play from the PCMCIA card just select the music register, you can have multiple folders to store your music. Though as with the HDD it takes awhile for the music to start.

My Bimmer has a USB port... it works great... can load all my music and folders on a single flash drive.
PCMCIA is dying technology!! Has anyone bought a PCMCIA flash card recently? Are the ones people posted about here still available? I guess I wouldn't mind using this if I can find a PCMCIA card that is flush when inserted and the flash media inserts flush too. Exists?
