Anybody got the Brabus Sports Exhausts installed on the W204?
I've been thinking about going ahead with exhausts modification on my W204 C280 and recently I was brought to the attention about the Brabus Sports Exhausts setup.
I've talked to a shop here locally in Taiwan about this and was told that the OE exhausts would first need to be sawed off, then Brabus exhausts are then welded onto the rest of the exhaust system. Is this the correct application? Shouldn't a more direct bolt-on appication be the way to go?
Kindly advise, thanks guys!

I installed my Brabus exhaust myself and didnt need to cut anything. As far as i know you never need to cut by Brabus. You take off your oem exhaust and put the Brabus exhaust and your ready. So i think the shop isnt good informed about that. But to be sure you can send an email to Brabus, the reply very quick.
By my C180K everything was in the box, an oem heathshield for the right silencer, a bracket, and a middle silencer that splits the oem front pipe into two pipes. Everything fitted perfect.
You allready have an exhaust left and right so i think it takes an half hour to instal the Brabus.
If you have any questions please lett me know.
@Petje: Thanks for the suggestion, I will email Brabus and hopefully they will provide me with some relevant feedback.
From your description, am I correct that the Brabus exhaust you have on your car is a catback? Would you happen to have photos of the bottom of your vehicle, taken when you installed the exhaust? If yes, it'd be great if you could share with me with a couple shots?
Lastly, how do you like the Brabus exhaust? I was told it provides a fuller exhaust tone. Any performance difference that may be felt?
Thanks again!

Brabus delivered me a Brabus midd silencer (like an Y pipe) and a left and right silencer. So i pulled off the oem midd/end silencer and put the Y pipe on the midd pipe and the left and right silencer on the Y pipe.
Now my setup is: kleemann headers with sports cat, oem midd pipe, and than the Brabus stuff.
Dont have pics from it, i will try to make them over the weekend.
Noticed not really more power i think, but a better pickup. I also had not expect more power from the Brabus but it was for the sound and the looks. Im sure i have more power now with the complete setup but never have tryed it on a dyno. I think you always have a little more power with an other exhaust, because the car can 'breath' better.
I also choose Brabus because they were the only one with a quad exhaust for my C180 kompressor. Here the exhaust was about € 2000 so not cheap, but its nice.

I got a quick response from Brabus Germany, per following word for word:
"The left side exhaust is repalced by removing a standard clamp and then fitting the BRABUS exhaust with a modified clamp. The factory right side exhaust is removed by sawing, but the BRABUS exhaust on that side is then fitted with an adapter, so that no welding is required"
It's interesting to learn that one of the OE exhaust needs to be sawed off so I guess if eventually I'd like to return the vehicle to original shape, I will need to either weld the sawed off section back on, or buy a new pipe completely.... DARN IT!

I think Brabus will also send you an adapter, so you can always put your oem exhaust back with that adapter. You can ask if they deliver it with the exhaust!! Think they do, and if not, it isnt much work to put your oem exhasut bakc, it need a little welding, so that wont cost you much if you lett it do by a shop.
And im sure you never put your oem exhaust back

Wil try to make pictures for you.
Have a nice weekend
