High level speaker inputs from HK stereo question
Ok, i have the HK and MM in my car.
I am thinking about adding a subwoofer in the trunk for added bass.
I would want to tap into some of the existing speakers to get the high level speaker inputs and ive seen this done on this forum as a DIY for the Base stereo.
I ask for the HK for two reasons:
1. will tapping into the HK system cause the system to stop playing completely? I have experienced this when trying to tap into a rear speaker on BOSE systems in the past. For some reason the audio system will stop working if you try to tap into the high level outputs.
2. On the HK system there are a bunch of speakers in the rear deck. I saw the DIY on the base system where the speakers were tapped in the door panel but it would be easier to tap into the rear deck right? anyone have advice on how to find the wires to tap into?
-this of course depends on question#1, if its ok to tap into the HK system to begin with.
TIA!
