Hello everyone
I got to get my car into service centre for Service A and my navigation is pretty much outdated.

Yes, I called the MB dealership in Arlington, VA and they quoted me around $268 for the 2010 NAV DVD and the 2011 DVD should come out after the new year (I'd wait until 2011 comes out before I purchased one).

The Nav DVD is just an update disc. My dealer here in CA did it for me for free with a spare DVD he had in his desk (Though he did mention we're supposed to purchase them) Its not a disc that needs to stay in the vehicle. You literally pop the disc in and hit accept when it ask you to update. After its done the disc is ejected and your HDD is updated with the current maps.

IMO you should just look for a forum member with the nav dvd and ask to rent/borrow. Its like a 15min update to the HDD and done.

Did you ever get the update done? I will have a 2009/2010 update disc later this week purchased at £210.00 - prepared to share costs with you and others if happy to do so.

I brought up the issue with my service manager and he agreed it was ridiculous that the customers should have to buy something they don't need, and bought it as a service item and gave me a courtesy update.

If it was 15 minutes, you didn't get the 2010 update which takes about 80 minutes to load. Retail price is $249.

Are you able to insert full post code into your Nav like W13 0HL? instead of only W13 0?

my navigation only accept the first 3 letters but the courtesy car i had from MB could accpet the full post code.
To be honest the only reason i want to upgrade is the post code.

Thanks

Anyone have the part number for V6 I guess it would be? What I have now according to my version screen is V5 2009/2010 and appears to be at least a year out of date at least on the roads around me.

The version I have just installed is Navigation DVD Comand APS 2009 / 2010 v6 (A204 827 47 59)

It cost me £209 but I'm willing to share it for a contribution...!

On which screen can you see what version you currently have?

From my "3.1 Navi core information" screen, it says my Navi version is 00.30.10_US and then on the "3.5 Database information" screen is says my Map is ver NS0500-03 and the Release is 0604 whatever those mean...

I dug through a bunch of menus but did see version #'s formatted like I often see described here (V5 2009/2010).

Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

Its still the same with UK postcodes. I was unhappy about that too.
