I had 19 on my 2010 and now again on my 2011 C300. I hate the feeling of the 17" wheels when i was changing cars. You feel so unconnected to the ground. 19" are the way to go. It makes the car feel proper.

Im not to sure on circumference, but with the stock 17's every bump and turn feels unconnected, like an SUV over bumps the whole thing moves. With springs and 19's I feel much more connected to the road. I've driven in my friends honda SI and i would say that is uncomfortable, I've driven in top luxury cars and it feels unconnected. I would say my setup is perfect (I'm a valet, I drive everything )

And isn't there 19'' rims that come on the c63 as a package?

I still think 18" is the best compromise for these cars. Remember that any vagueness in steering turn-in etc. is vastly effected by tyre choice & pressure. If Bridgestone is to be believed 80% of Americans run with under inflated tyres.

If 19" is your preference - that's fine. Just don't tell people that it does not effect comfort adversely.

Comfort is relative. To me and a lot of people that like 19's, a firmer ride is more comfortable than that soft fluffy cloud feeling. I'm driving a sport sedan not a cadillac dts. Further more, i have the dynamically handling package with the continuously variable dampening. I haven't changed my rims yet, but I can tell you that I felt absolutely no change in firmness after going on SuperSport Springs.

It seems like something soft is more comfortable to you. Therefore what you really meant by your post was "Just don't tell people that it does not effect the soft, cloud-like, cadillac seville feeling adversely"

I understand the sporty feeling, I like it how it feels more connected too, but when I got up to 160km/h and so on the car is just jumping to every lump on the highway with my current 18s thats y i am concerned, must be my eibach with advance agility control

stock c class tyre size is
225/45/17
245/40/17
compare to your settup
235/35/19
265/35/19

I just noticed with your setup ur rear wheel is actually bigger than ur front so ur car is have the front pointing downward a little, and I ran a tire size calc http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html
it shows ur new tires r bigger than stock which means ur speedo will be going slower than ur actual speed, thats probably why in the picture those tire profiles are plenty, if the speedo does not matter to you that much that might be the optimal setup for comfort 19s, the difference isnt actually that big, plus if you do have stretched tires you might even out the profile

FYI c63 19" is
245/35/19
275/30/19

It is slightly bigger than non AMG c class, perhaps AMG has a different speedo calibrated?

Thanks for all the replys and feedback to my first thread on this forum. i appreciate all the conversatioin and the difference of opinions when it comes to ride comfort, look, and handling when it comes to choosing a new wheel. I think im leaning toward 19's with a nice lowering kit and tires that will handle these l.a. roads. However, i was wondering if there are any more c300's out there rolling on 20's? I liked what c3nthusiast posted about his 20's so im having 2nd thoughts.

You are just playing semantics - I mean NVH & I made that pretty clear.

Does your car have "Advanced Agility Control" I thought it was not offered in the US. If you have the active system as we have on our C350 it is magic. You push that "Sport" button & everything firms up at the expense of some "NVH/comfort" or release it & back to the typical Benz ride. It gives you the best of both worlds. I love it. The passive system is far less effective.

Cadillacs Sevilles have huge compliance. Benz cars don't

It was offered in the US only for 2010...thats one of my main reasons I ordered it And yes I love the planted feeling. Btw I don't think I am clear on what NVH is?

Noise/Vibration/Harshness

Presence or absence of harshness doesn't necessarily mean BMW firm or old Lincoln/Cadillac soft. Harshness is the sharpness/severity with which jounce/rebound of the wheel/tire/shock is transmitted into the body and ultimately, the occupants. Some unsophisticated cars with softly calibrated suspensions can still be harsh on bumps (a criticism of the new Hyundai Equus, considering it's segment), and a firmly calibrated refined chassis can still make road imperfections have that "far away" muffled thump experience, such as a variety of higher end German cars.
