2012 C-class facelift: spot the changes
These are the latest pictures of Mercedes’ facelifted C-class saloon in testing at the Nurburgring.
The light disguise of the test car in these pictures hides a round of subtle visual upgrades at the front inspired by the new E-class range, including new headlamps, a more contoured bonnet and a reprofiled bumper.
Changes at the rear are even more minor, with only small changes to the bumper and lights.
The saloon will get reworked versions of today’s four-cylinder petrol and diesel engines, and an optional seven-speed automatic gearbox in place of the current five-speed unit.
The 3.5-litre V6 in the C350 CGI will make way for a newer unit of the same capacity from Mercedes’ MoVe generation of engines.
Revised C-class saloon and estate models will be launched at the Detroit motor show in January alongside a newcomer to the C-class range, the C-class coupe.
This is a replacement for both the CLC and CLK and will also spawn a BMW M3-rivalling C63 AMG model, as well as potentially a hardcore Black Series variant. No C-class cabriolet will be made, however.

I heard that car companies can not do radical changes during same car period according to rule of saving client rights . is that true ? so only minor changes mean this

The rear bumper reflector looks temporary (a sticker), as it's bit crooked and off-center. I assuming it's there because the tail lights are partially covered.
I think the headlight eyelids will remain, judging from the black tape that's covering it, which I think is good because eliminating it would make the grill look too tall. Possibly a notched eyelids like on the SL-class, but more subtle.
I am suspecting Distronic may be a possible option looking at the covered domed grille emblem.

Ya this tester definitely doesn't have the sport/amg kit..notice the plain side skirts as well.
It's probably not a US version..unless they're making the making the sport package optional.

According to recent information the C-Class facelift is already in December 2010 the order release. The delivery will then begin in early 2011. In addition to a revised interior (new instrument cluster, similar to the CLS with the new color TFT on the instrument panel), especially the headlights and taillights are revised graphics. In addition, there will be a new front apron. Nice to see also the avant-garde grill with the hood Distronic Plus (driver assistance package). Furthermore, the Attention Assist and Fernlichassistent be new. The 4-cylinder engines will be available with the 7G-Tronic Plus. New is also the C 250 CDI 4MATIC and the use of the 7G-Tronic with start-stop technology. The V6 petrol and diesel will be replaced with new engines (C 350 BlueEFFICIENCY with 306 hp C 350 CDI comes with the OM642LS). (Photos MotorAuthority / Worldcarfans.com)

distronic plus is a feature -arrangment with front car distance and -if necessary-needed- push the brake automatically ?
the other radical changings for me 7 g tronic inside cluster and tft replace and new engines release

I like most of the changes, but I think there are too many empty buttons, or too many buttons in general underneath the controls for the command on the dashboard below the volume knob.
It also appears that it will have Audi-like DRL directly underneath the headlights too because of the slit underneath the low beam.

More camouflage coming off:
The E-class wheels looks really nice on the C.
The front bumper looks more aggressively styled with hints of the BMW 3-series.
