The only options I know are ordering from the dealer or painting them yourself (or a shop). The factory headlights (unless you get them from a C63) aren't equipped with xenon. Not sure if that's a big deal or not....hope that helps!

From what I understand, if you get the upgraded lighting package (with LED DRLs) you get the black housings. I could be wrong... I'm actually going to the dealer today to have my seatbelt fixed, I'll have to check it out.

All 2011's come with the LED DRL's, it's not part of any option list. Might be different for luxury models but I never cared to look at them.. Lemme know what you find out at the dealer

C300 Sport/Palladium Silver on Black/P2
However, it's true. It's in the MBUSA Press materials.
Maybe they have a LOT of xenon housings lying around. They also put xenons on about 5 percent or less of the W204s anymore, so they probably weren't bothered to make blacked out ones.

You also get the black housing STANDARD on the same cars.
EXCEPT if you have xenons, I know, it makes no sense.
Good luck finding a xenon car on the lot anyway.

Just think about it this way, unless you bought a 2010 right before the 2011's came out, you've put in time with, and enjoyed your car for longer (and while it was closer to brand-new on the streets) than those who got theirs later (with the changes). So you win either way.
Honestly, now that they're stock on 2011's, it might be pretty easy to find someone who wants to swap.
Enthusiasts aside, who pay attention to differences, and will lust after something new and/or different to what they've focused on re: their cars for so long, still "technically" would see chrome accents as > to black accents. M-B does it backwards in a way, as they supply their cars with so much chrome off the lot, that simply doing what most "lower designations" of other cars will do (keep areas flat black, while higher designations will get more chrome treatment), is sometimes what we enthusiasts want.
Therefore, I'll bet if you find the right John/Jane average M-B Leaser, and explain (err: sell) to them how 2011 models decontended into "cheaper black headlight housings", as opposed to the "bright bling bling chrome of my earlier model, which now you can only acquire with the expensive HID option", they might just consider taking your "superior headlights"

On the list of what bugs me about first year runs - let me elaborate even more for him... My '08 does not have memory seats like the '09, nor the really good iPod kit of the '10 model, or LED daytime running lights, or new mirrors, or blacked out headlight housing, or blah blah blah. But I still love her.

There's always a mid-generation facelift/revision for just about any car but it is really annoying when the 2007 W203 had memory seats and power steering column and the 2009 W204 had memory seats and power steering column, but for whatever reason the 2008 W204 did not. You can forgive changes three years later but for a useful feature like memory seats that should be standard on any luxury car anyway to be mysteriously missing for one model year is just ridiculous.
So yeah, I understand why the earlier person said he'd never buy the first year of a generation again. I think 2014 is supposed to be the W205, right? So it makes you wonder if you buy the 2014, what will you not have that the 2015 will?
For me, my lease is almost up so I'll have all the new features soon enough... except the blacked out headlights because I ordered the lighting package and for some reason the HIDs don't get the blacked out lights. The new feature that I'm most excited about in my next car is the much improved iPod interface. The old iPod kit was downright embarrassing when the car had a great central control system but the iPod could only be controlled from the steering wheel.

Here in OZ back in 2009 MB released a C Class Avantgarde Sports ‘Special Edition’ (C200 Kompressor or C220 CDI) which had listed in the brochure under ‘Standard Equipment’ sub heading ‘Exterior Appointments’ – ‘Dark Tinted Headlight Lenses’ along with a myriad of other unique appointments. The tail lights were also factory tinted, referred to as ‘Dark Grey Meander’
