Light the eye lids and the L.E.D's together?

Hi guys, just got a 2011 c 300 sport today, and while playing with it, i noticed i cant light the eye lids and my l.e.d's without the headlights being on. Is this new with 2011? or did everyone who has fogs and the eyelids lit in the pics i see alter something?

Thanks in advance

hmmm by my record the first click is automatic lamp the second click is eyelid the third click is low beam
then pull out once is fog twice is rear fog

i dunno

EDIT: i just realized what u mean by L.E.D. i kept thinking its the eyelids
DRL would be easier to understand in the future if you wanna refer to it cos LED is just too general probably

if the DRL works the same as fogs u just turn to second click then pull the switch 1 click
or if u have a button right next to the switch in some models

yea i meant the led's that were where the fogs used to be. I clicked it to the left, and hit the button, but they dont go on when the lids go on. I guess (hope) this is just something they did to the 2011 models, or else mine has an issue.

I just got a 2011 two weeks ago also, congrats. But you cant have the LED DRL's on with the eyelids. They're either on when nothing is on (only the LED's) or they go way dim at night when the low beams are on. It's kinda lame and yeah they redid the lighting controls for 2011 next to the steering wheel compared to older models, so Zankok's instructions were for models before 2011

No it was easy, no splicing required, just connected the led wiring together with the amber side markers. its easier if you turn the wheels to one side and then remove the black "plugs" so you have better access to the wires etc. When the amber side markers are on the LEDs are on.

Keep in mind that my car has DRL, so if it is a sunny day the amber side markers are not on. your car might be a bit different.
