PLEASE HELP BURNT OUT REAR LIGHTS HOLDERS
Hi guys i bought these led lights of ebay 2 weeks ago

since fitting them i have burnt out out the rear brake light bulb holders
i drive a 08 c220 merc have said warranty will not cover the job quoting £500 repair bill
would these led lights have caused the prob

Sorry to hear about your problem.
I replace one of my rear bulbs a few months ago after 2 1/2 years and there were no signs of burned out bulb holders.
The only conclusion I see is that the replacement bulbs you used ran a lot hotter which doesn't make much sense as I thought LEDs ran cooler.
Wish I could be more help but at this point the best you can probably do is find some aftermarket sockets to replace the burned ones and return to the original bulbs.

I think maybe the quality of the lights. A lot of people have had the Eyelid holder burned using and others have been fine while using the same LED's. The ones I purchased were $45 and they have been good so far. No burns or anything like that. I think the light may have been the problem. Contact the seller and get some info on the LED's and stuff. MAybe that will help. Good luck!

Hi guys thanks for your reply the funny thing is the wiring that plus into the led lights is fine but the rear brakes lights holders are melted and burnt also have just been advised my merc dealer i need a new rear fuse box so this is going to be a big bill has anyone else had the same prob please help thanks

You know, you can buy some of this stuff online and save a few dollars.
Doubt installation is much more than plug and unplug.
I'd still return the car to stock. Who know what really happened.
