Scratch removal kits + Who has swapped thier hood emblem?

Scratch removal kits + Who has swapped thier hood emblem?
So I've been looking for a scratch removal kit for my car. I've got a ton of scratches in the area that joins the roof to the trunk and the roof to the hood. My guess is either *****es with their stupid purses with the big buckles in parking lots or birds and their ****ing claws. The one I bought today says we have some type of ceramic paint job? My paint code is C040 (black) so I can only use the second part of the kit, not the sand paper and the first chemical.
Also, I went to swap my hood emblem today from the OEM plastic one to a sunken smaller emblem that sits in the indentation and there was a brutal scratched-in line around the perimeter of the emblem in the paint of my hood. No I did not twist the emblem when removing it and no I have never removed it before. this was factory inflicted.
Anyone had this problem? I know there isnt anything I can do about it I'm just wondering if I'm not alone... Kind of a **** off cause there is one spot which is really deep and I don't think a scratch removal kit will help it.

I have had my emlem off and did not have any paint damage other than a bit of surface scratching from the grit that had worked its way under it. If it is scratched to the paint, I would clean and paint the scratch. You will likely need to drive around a few days to let the paint cure before you reinstall the emblem.
