best way to install subwoofer and amp?
some people said run it to the fuse box and the original way is run it to the battery? which way would you do it?
the part where im really confuse at is tapping into the two rear speakers? whats the reason for doing that? so the aftermarket sub will work?
where do you run the remote wire from the amp to?
and why do i need the RCA hi to low converter? when tapped into the two rear speakers, i wire the two negative and two positive together right? then wire them to the high to low converter and plug the male end of the converter to the amp?
if anyone can help id appreciate it. thanks
You tap into the rear speakers for a high level input to your amp as no RCA's are available, note you need to buy an amp that will accept a high level input otherwise you will need the high to low converter.
The amp turn on signal would normally come from the head unit but that would be a pain, you can simply wire it to an accessory wire in the rear SAM, this will turn the amp on when you start the car however it will not turn off when you turn off the radio and keep the car running.
is this the high to low converter?

how do i know if the amp has high level input? and what is high level input?
so from what you are saying..
run the power to the battery
ground wire to any ground metal in the trunk
tap into the two rear speakers and then run them to a hi low converter and then run the converter to the amp?
what about the remote wire? where does that go?
is that all?
thanks
