Well went to the gas station last night to fix my tire pressure and the air hose ripped s lil of the coating by the air thing . I just sprayed over it but now I see that this stuff is pretty fragile . When it gets warm again I'm gonna paint the wheels with regular paint but the Plasti dip is fine fir winter .

Any more reviews on plasti-dip? How does it hold up? I have a feeling it would start to flake off from high pressured water hoses that my car-wash uses...
Also, Hitokiri, did you use clear plasti-dip at the end, or clear regular paint coat? I like how your rims have a bit of a "gloss" black look to it as opposed to the flat black appearance.

I've plasti-dipped my emblems on my other project car. Holding up well against a pressure washer so far.

Just cleaned the wheels up real good , hit them with like 5 coats of Plasti Dip and than a few coats of matte clear coat . Went through winter with no problems even at the car wash . Only issue is that the inner barrels sort if soak up the brake dust so you need a lot of clear coat and make sure to keep the insides clean .

The only prep I did was cleaning and drying . I did my grill too with no problems . Holds up really good and easy to remove if you don't like it . The stuff is pretty amazing .

Removing the grille is probably one of the easiest things to do, in under 5 minutes, with no tools required.
1) Pop open hood
2) Push in the entire bottom of the grille to unclip the hooks
3) Remove the two nubs behind the grille in the center that fit into two holes (one on each side), often referred to as a t-bar
4) Pull up (towards the sky) from both sides of the grill to get the two cylinders out of the grooves.
5) Install new grille or reinstall modified grille in reverse order.

Came out really nice , 3 coats all you need on the grill . I like the way you taped up the star I didn't think of blanketing the star like you did , I taped around the chrome and the inside lol took forever .
