Backup camera display in rearview mirror
I am interested in installing a backup camera but I don't have the MM unit. I have seen some rearview mirrors for sale that have a built-in display for the backup camera but I'd rather keep the stock mirror if possible. Has anyone seen this done to a stock rearview mirror and do you know who has done it? Thanks.

Yeah, I actually use the homelink so I was hoping there was a way to get a backup camera display in the stock mirror. Kind of like the way they are putting in the Valentine One indicators in them. I have seen a couple of mirrors that clip on to the stock mirror but I think that will look stupid.

I guess that anyone could do it, but for a price. It would be much easier to just get an aftermarket mirror and use a garage door opener clicker. But the only real answer would be to visit a shop and ask around. Like I said, anything is possible at a price. But no, I haven't heard or seen anyone do this to their car, and I have been onthese forms for a while.

There is no LCD display in the stock mirror so your only option would be to replace the mirror. We have them on most of our trucks and to tell the truth the display is so small it isn't worth it for a car, a tractor trailer yes but not in a car just to small.
