Pricing Advice needed on 2011 C300W4 please!!

Its my first time here as well as looking to purchase a Mercedes so am hoping some of you veterans can help

The specs are as follows:

2011 C300 AWD Sport (automatic)
Premium Package
iPod Integration Kit
Heated Front Seats

The dealer is stating he is giving me just $600 above invoice and quoting total at $42,710. What quotes have you gotten? Does this seem like a fair price? Any and all opinions/advice would be greatly appreciated!

Mercedes Benz C300 Sport
These price points are from MBUSA's site:

Base MSRP for the C300: 33,990
4Matic AWD option: 3,500
P1 Package: 1,995
IPod integration kit: 375
Heated front seats: 750

Total Price: $41,810... Take note transportation charges, registration and license fees, taxes are not yet included in the price

So if their asking for $42,710, you might still have a little room to haggle/ negotiate... if they won't bring the price down try to negotiate to add more options to the car without increasing the cost

You might also want to consider in getting the bi-xenon/ lighting package to spare you the hassle of upgrading your headlights to HID at a later time, Consider all the options that you may need now or in the future cause some of these dealer available options are hard and very costly if you decide to add or upgrade them later.

Good luck on your new purchase and welcome to the forums

They are saying $42,710 inclusive of all taxes and other fees so thanks for the advice -- I will try to haggle.
Also I actually wanted the lighting package but was told that they didnt have ANY cars with the lighting package without navigation so it would have to be custom. I had thought I would have less negotiation room so dropped it. Seemed strange to me tho that they would offer a package and then state it has to be 'custom' since there are no cars with that currently ANYWHERE (not even in South Africa or Germany docks). But I'm new to this so maybe its not strange?

My 350 came to 43 with mm package so you should have a bit of wiggle room left to haggle .

2016 C300 4Matic Lux w/ P1, P2, Lighting Package
I think there's there more room for negotiation. I took delivery of a factory-ordered 2011 C300 4Matic luxury exactly two weeks ago - actually ordered it in August. It has:

P1 (convenience package)
P2 (lighting package )
Heated Seats
Metallic paint

Price - $40,716 (before tax)

It is absolutely true that finding the vehicle with the lighting package is next to imposssible. My dealer searched and searched and searched, and either located the sport model (I didn't want the sport) or a lux model that was fully loaded (also didn't want). That's why I ordered mine and waited nearly four months for it.

My advice - order a factory build with the lighting package. You'll regret it if you don't. It's absolutely worth the wait.

Thanks to all for the input. Any recommendations for NY/NJ/CT area dealerships (known to give good deals )???

Also, since the lighting package add on would be a custom build looking into the following options as well:

Rear View Camera
Illuminated Door Sills
Chrome Door Handle Inserts
Keyless Go

Any thoughts on those? Are they worth the added $$? I'm especially interested in the Keyless Go and Rear View Camera. Any and all opinions/thoughts are very welcome!

I would recommend Prestige on Rt 17 in Paramus. I got a decent deal on a lease but it was a m/t sport with hardly any options (heated seats and ipod adapter). I can't guarantee what deal you'll be able to get but give it a try. Mike Kenny was my salesman and I felt he did a good job for me. He might remember me, Darren 2010 black C300 sport with m/t. Can't complain about the service dept either, took my car in for the steering fluid recall and they put on my new wheels/snow tires for no charge (they were already mounted and balanced) Good luck.

My sister got her 2011 c300 4matic with only heated seats option and got a great factory incentive on top of a $1,000 rebate I got her through MBUSA at the U.S. Open. She paid $33,7xx out the door including taxes and fees. Basically got it for cheaper than the dealers get it for. Great deal if you ask me. I think that $42,000 is a very attainable price.

Agree on the light package being essential. I took a loaner recently and it didn't have it. Driving at night was an entirely different experience.

The factory incentive is no longer available on the 2011 c-class. It allowed the dealer incentive cash to give it away for cost, and then I got a corporate $1,000 certificate from the U.S. Open that I passed on to her as part of a promotional thing. So I doubt that price will be possible to obtain any day of the week. If you demand it from a dealer, they will probably just laugh.

However, I do second Ray Catena, in NJ. I have used him in the past for a lexus or two, and I know many people that use him now, prices are great, a real deal maker!

Thanks for the advice, I'll check out Ray Catena in Edison.
Also, I was looking for a warranty for something around 7 years but was given a quote for 5 year total / 100,000 miles $3465 plus tax. Anyone know of what kind of warranties are offered? I had thought it was 4 yr/50,000 (like Audi) so was expecting quite a few more years for 100,000 miles....???

You guys are so lucky in the States.
A bare bone "B" class 2L 134/hp FWD would be at least $34k OTD in Ontario, Canada.

The official MB Extended Limited Warranty (ELW) is available for the C Class as follows:

5yrs/75k - $2,695
5yrs/100k - $3,465
6yrs/75k - $3,080
6 yrs/100k - $4,005
7yrs/75k - $3,540
7yrs/100k - $4,620

Note that these overlap the original 4yr/50k manufacturer's warranty. So if you choose, say the 6yr/75k ELW, you would get only two years of additional warranty coverage or an additional 25k miles, whichever comes first.

Prices above were effective May 2008 but haven't changed, yet.

I would try $40,000... The new 2012 are coming out in only 3-4 months or so and are light years better. They should be heavily discounting the 2011 models.

This.

Wait.

If you want an 11 you can get one far cheaper I'm sure come July/Aug.

Or you'll be able to get into a 12 for probably a little more than an 11 will cost today.

Exactly, however, you run the risk of "getting what you want". As in color choice, options, etc. The most recent post is asking for a type of car that is basically "fully loaded" and they don't tend to remain on the lots as left-overs. Most people who can afford a fully loaded c-class don't wait until they become left-overs, they get them now when they can score a good deal, and don't care about saving a possible $1,000 more in 3-4 months.

Hello all, in case anyone was still curious -- I finally got my car!! I signed on 12/12/10 for $40,000 based on all your advice. I think I got a good deal though it is a pain that I have to go to NJ every time I have an issue (which I have already had to do 3 times due to issues with my IPOD integration). I was also not happy with the fact that the dealer stated the car was on a ship and would be in by 2nd week in JAN, but didn't actually get in until the 2nd week in March. That definitely put me in a bind as I had sold my car in JAN.

Did you end up with the P2 (lighting) package?

if not, take it somewhere you trust (or do it yourself if you're inclined) and get some HID's on that bad boy. When I took a loaner without it for a night, it was stunning to me the difference. It'll be a whole new delight all over again once you pick it up with those HIDs on it. Feels more luxurious.
