just make sure the unit you buy is for the small 5" screen with no nav and no MMI. everything i found is for MMI screen or nav screen.

navvideo is based in florida and the unit is US spec. their price is lower I believe. but not knowing anything about the cartronics unit, I won't comment on it. these units are all plug and play, they simply sit between the control unit and the display and override the display image as needed.

FYI: i have no financial interest in navvideo. i'm just glad i found something that works, after an exhausting search online and in forums. finding installers that will touch a MB is hard too. but i'm glad there are options (free market).

I tried your website. When I selected the C-Class 2007-present none of the products appeared to be for the W204. I am looking for a multi-media add-on unit to integrate Video from iPod, Back-Up camera and possibly a Nav unit.

It is the VIM/Backup kit. It is for the W204. We have them available for every Mercedes made from 2000 to current.

Works with the 5 inch screen right? It adds the ability to watch vids thru iPhone, back up cam etc?

I had it installed into my wife's 2008 C300 non MMI 5" screen, along with navvideo's custom backup cam for w204 (license plate backlit slot). the camera location is closer to the center than the OEM MMI cam (on my C63), so the image is less distorted. but the smaller screen is harder to see than the MMI. The unit also does VIM but I just wanted the cam.

the install is complicated. I want to contribute to this forum - when I have a few hours to spare I'll post all the detailed instruction and pictures.

for now, see the pix...
I have a c300 2008 like your wife can you help me how you installed it on your wife's or at least what you used I will really appreciate it thanks
